Surrounded by thousands of acres of forest service wilderness, the 32 acres of mountain ridgelines and hollers that comprise Wilson's Holler are your gateway to exploration. Five primitive, hike-in campsites and one primitive, hike-in lean-to allow you to fully immerse yourself in whatever form of natural connection you seek
And boyo, does nature provide; the Southern Appalachian Mountains will provide you with a laundry list of activities to connect you with the world, all just within a short drive or hike. Experience the restorative waters of Hot Springs; hike to Lover's Leap and stand where a Cherokee woman stood up for love; raft by the old Runion Ruins: once the largest employer in Madison County, an entire area built up around an industry, now nothing more than a ghost town being reclaimed by nature; horseback riding, pontooning, trout fishing (don't ask where though). Heck, if you come at the right time of the year, you can hit the slopes for some snowboarding. You'll never run out of things to do, all while staying grounded and connected with the natural world
But for the record, if you do just want to kick back and relax, we're here for that too. Come dip your feet in the creek, throw up a hammock and take a nap. Listen to the bounty of the forest
Whatever your fancy, Wilson's Holler will help you get there. Of course, your animal buddies are welcome; they'll love it here too!

Will responded quickly and was very hospitable. Will’s property is incredibly beautiful! We arrived late at night and were blown away by the beauty we woke up to :) We slept at site 1. We found it to be the most flat. The babbling brook was such a wonderful treat, and the amenities Will offered were top notch. I would’ve gladly stayed longer if our time frame allowed it. It’s close to the quaint town of Hot Springs and is about 30 min from Asheville. Do note that the lane back to the sites is narrow. I made it fine with my Subaru Crosstrek but wouldn’t recommend a Ford F150 travel it. You’d have to park near the port-a-potie and walk in.

Wilson's Holler was a wonderful experience from beginning to end! Will provided everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and the description of the property was accurate. It was nice to have a large private space, as well as a fire pit. Wilson's Holler is beautiful and very convenient to all the attractions in the area - like kayaking, hiking, and a bunch more.
Peaceful, relaxing, well managed with great host and communication. Hesitant to leave a review since this place is our née best kept secret.
Primitive camping 15 minutes from Hot Springs. Peaceful and beautiful spot. Nice creek to filter water if needed. Host was super responsive and friendly. I suggest arriving before dark to navigate the narrow drive back to the drop off area. Enjoyed my stay here, thank you, Will!
I stayed at campsite #2 for one night on a road trip that took me through NC. Will was communicative and met me at the campground to show me around. I was the only one there for the night so it was extremely private and quiet. If there are other campers and you want privacy, campsites 4 and 5 would be best for that. I was traveling by myself and felt very safe. Only 15 min from Hot Springs. Would definitely stay again!
We loved staying at Wilson's Hollar! Great campsites in a beautiful place with lots of centralized perks to make the experience more enjoyable. Would highly recommend this campsite!
