When you think about camping, does your mind automatically think of a tent and a fire? Or is it more of an RV in a campground? Do you have arguments of whether or not your way of “sleeping outside” is actually camping? Well, opinions of all kinds obviously exist, but it’s true: camping exists in many forms. So whether you’re a newbie to camping and you don’t know where to start, or you’re a seasoned pro looking for inspiration, here are some kinds of camping to get you started on your next getaway. To backcountry camp, you generally have to go somewhere inaccessible from roads. It can be a mile away from the trailhead or somewhere in the middle of a mountain range during a weeklong trek. The point is you’re away from civilization. You pack in what you can carry, are never without a Swiss Army Knife, and (hopefully) pack out all of your waste and leave everything looking as good (or better) than when you came.

Beautiful campsite! Love that it’s close to the creek. Bathrooms and showers were kept clean. Campsite is also about 15 mins away from town if you’re wanting to check it out. Will come back for sure!

I did write a review on their Fb but I'll do it on here too; The best part was the location as the full creek muttered everything else so high up in the valley. The trails were right there from the campground. No darn roads to bother you. Just nature, birch trees, poplars and pines...

The owners took great care of us, even applying oitment on my pinky after a bee sting! Warm friendly people :-) They had also decorated the camphouse really fine for Halloween!
Perks: some campsites had wooden shelters on them, sweet!
The bath house was clean and there were 2 bath houses, (also I make a point of leaving a sink, shower or toilets better than I find them. We all shed hair and things).
Ps: The wifi didn't work for me on T-Mobile but sporadically.
Conclusion: I recommend and would go back.
Tip: the temperature will drop up there so be prepared.

What an outstanding campground. Actually I think it’s a little slice of heaven. The creek is wonderful the grounds well-maintained and the staff was there for every consideration. I highly recommend Trout Creek Campground and will certainly be back again and again.

Came to stay the night with my girlfriend and have our first tent camping experience to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. The place was absolutely beautiful and Anthony, who was extremely kind and pleasant to talk to, let us upgrade our spot to creekside which made it even better. The campground was as quiet and tranquil as it gets and I got to experience the closeness to nature I was looking for, while my girlfriend enjoyed the comfort and convenience of a campground. Having a restroom, electricity if needed, and a bit of Wifi in the middle of the park here did make it easy on us first-timers. There were more RVs than tents when we were there but most of them were in the back part and didn't bother us at all. We spent most of the weekend at Bear Creek Lake which is an absolute must-see. The waterfalls that supply the lake are breathtaking and well worth the paddle and hike! So glad we found this place, can't wait to go back!

We really enjoyed this clean and simple campground on Trout Creek. Peaceful and quiet compared to a lot of other campgrounds, with friendly and helpful caretakers. We look forward to coming back!

We stayed 2 days in October of 2020 the sites are small, but set up up decent. The one thing that was a turn off was showers were closed do to COVID 19. Why can’t this be updated on hipcamp COVID has been here since March there has been plenty of time to update hipcamp and we just stayed at davidson river and their showers were open. 2 days without a shower? 😒
