Quiet, peaceful, weekend.
When we got out of our car the first thing we heard was rushing water from both sides of the house, in stereo. Very cool. The cabin is very nice, a little older but still in good shape. The quiet was great, the owners very very nice, the trails are great to walk. You will not have cell service but the tv gets all the channels you need and you don't have to travel very far down the road to get the cell service. Overall, it is worth the money and the effort to get there.
Great spot to reconnect
This cabin was everything we needed for an off the radar spot in the woods. No cell signal. No wifi. We were able to reconnect with games and hikes. It's close to do many places we love from last year and we went to many new waterfalls in the area. We were sure to download our map for offline use.. coming into the campground area was so magical. The creek running right by, as we checked in, the kids all jumped out of the car to explore. Easy check in process, 20 minutes to a great grocery store and farmers market in Cashiers. 100% would come back again.
Great weekend away from everything!
Our family had a great time! Our kids love the fishing around the creek! Very quiet and in the middle of nowhere. It was great to get away from everything including cell phone service! Will will definitely be back!
Great location—private and homey
We loved our stay! So much more than we had expected—a lovely view and can hear the creek from the cabin. It’s at the campground but is up the road from the other campers, so it felt very private. Also the trails were lovely. We even saw a mama and baby fox, deer and some craw dads! Lightning bugs every night. :) Also there was a lot more space than we had anticipated—and the best hot water heater maybe... ever? We only had a few cons: lots of glass near the fire pit, needed a little cleaning, and could use some furniture covers! But it was far better than we had anticipated so we were happy happy campers! We will be back!
If you are looking to go off the grid this place is for you, as there is NO INTERNET, TV, AND CELL PHONE RECEPTION. Be mindful of the ATVS and watch out for bears. Peaceful place to stay otherwise.
