We have a working animal sanctuary with nearly 50 animals: dogs, cats, pigs, goats, chickens, turkeys and bunnies. We have a firepit, picnic tables (2, first come first serve), a pool, and we'll be adding a compostable toilet soon! You'll have plenty of places to camp and you can set up anywhere you like! The land is mostly flat and cleared but surrounded by woods. We are right around the corner from the Carl Sandburg National Historic Site and very close to awesome waterfall hikes like Big Bradley and Little Bradley in Saluda, and DuPont State Forest in Brevard. We are located less than three miles from downtown Hendersonville where there are plenty of bars, breweries, restaurants and shops (it's an awesome town).

Lisa was very communicative and so wonderful to meet! The property is close to a ton of sightseeing and restaurants. Lisa also allowed us to visit with the residents of the rescue, and they were just as wonderful! It was a wonderful escape, and we would love to visit again!

Lisa's property felt very secluded surrounded entirely by high trees and bamboo. Even with other campers there everything was quiet by 10:30pm and we got a very restful sleep in our tent. Lisa was very accommodating and friendly, introducing us to the rescue animals and quick correspondence. I would definitely stay here again if passing through the area.

Great seeing the animals and hearing their stories. Our kid loved it. There was a campstove to use (bring a lighter) and water. Nice stay.

My family and I had a great and relaxing time on lovely Lisa's property. We had the chance to meet all the animals in the barn while learning a lot of important information from the caregivers couple. We highly recommend this place full of love and compassion for life.

I visited this campsite alone with my 5yo son and felt completely safe and well taken care of! It wasn’t a very private setup, but we liked having other people around. Great grounds for setting up tents and a fire pit. My son and I loved the pool! Super close to town where we could run to the store for forgotten items. My son said “I want to come back here and stay for 100 weeks!”
