JCO is a beautiful setting and highly recommend it. The hosts make you feel welcome and ensure you have a nice stay. I only camped, but I imagine their guiding services are great as well. Thanks for the hospitality!

Beautiful sites right on the pond. We camped on the far side and had complete privacy, a beautiful view, a wonderful fire. The hosts were very kind, available and flexible. We will definitely come back!

Loved Contessa's camp site. My son and friend had a great time fishing and paddle boarding on the big pond. It was a great atmosphere to relax.

Contessa’s camp and RV site was our first foray into US camping. We enjoyed the site which we booked to enjoy a beach trip one day and a day trip into Wilmington the other day. The view was beautiful. Contessa was super helpful. The site we booked had water and power even though we just had tents. While my first experience our American friends who joined us said they campsite was well spaced out and far less crowded than other sites they visited. Wood was well priced. All in all, a great stay.

Peaceful little oasis in the middle of the country—plenty of shade available too, which is important when camping in NC in June. Great birding too! Perfect for an evening bike ride. As for tent camping, there’s no picnic table or raised surface so be prepared with a table. The frogs burst into chorus at sunset which I personally loved, but a consideration for folks who might be sensitive to that sound.
