Relax & revive at everbear village!
Just a short, scenic drive from downtown Asheville, Everbear Village is perfectly situated for adventure or relaxation.
Host Bradley & Co. warmly welcomed my husband and I upon our arrival and made us feel right at home.
A riverside campground, working farm, and wide-open mountain vista were the backdrop to a lovely afternoon on the property. There were many picturesque spots to relax, kick up our feet, and enjoy this beautiful site in the lovely Swannanoa Valley.
The river running along the campsite was tranquil, and refreshing to dip our feet into. Further down the river I scouted some potential swimming holes for a warmer day.
As the sun began to set, we gathered around a well-made fire to enjoy the sounds of jangling banjos and soft guitars. It was a great ending to a great afternoon.
The lodging at Everbear Village was set up for ease and comfort. Electricity and proper beds are there to provide a seamless transition from relaxing day to restorative evening. What more could
Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us, Bradley! We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Everbear Village. The kindness and company of your crew truly made our stay wonderful.
Great family time
Our stay at everbear village was just what we needed. Even though it was just a few days we had a lot of family fun. The covered pavilion was great for when it started to rain we could all still be together and play games. The river was cold but it didn’t stop us from tubing down the river. Portapotty was clean and had sanitizer along with other nice touches. (As my 5 year old said it made her feel better about using portapotty’s haha). Owners were very responsive about any questions that we had. Thank you for the much needed family time.
This was our second time staying at Everbear. We had a great time. Each of the four permanent tents has a queen bed and a twin. One of these twins is more like a futon. Each tent has a fan, a small light, and a place to plug in your devices. The beds have sheets and pillows on them. Blankets are available if you need them. There is a great big tented area (with a lamp with a broken shade) to hang out in while cooking or if the weather gets bad. There is a fire pit and plenty of very large firewood, scrap wood etc. if you need smaller logs, you may want to bring them. Using the outhouse was not our favorite, but it was clean and had been serviced recently. not that big of a deal. Being next to the Swannanoa River was definitely the best part. You can drive about a mile up the road and put your tubes in for a leisurely one hour float directly back to Everbear. There were a few downed trees that required some tricky navigation but you could always just stand up if needed. Everbear is for sure not a luxury place. Rather, it’s a funky laid-back glamping spot super close to Asheville.
We had such an awesome weekend! Great location allowed us to enjoy meals in Asheville and Black Mountain. We had a blast playing in the river - both the adults and the kids! Loved the ambience of Everbear Village too. Looking forward to visiting again!
This place was perfect for my friends and I for a birthday weekend together. We loved everything about the site the yurts, to the river access, fire pit, etc. this was the perfect spot for us. We will 100% be making it back here for another weekend, I can’t recommend Everbear Village enough!
Family fun at everbear village
We had an incredible time on Rebecca’s land! She was an gracious host and made us feel extremely welcomed. She even brought me fresh flowers from her garden to congratulate us on our wedding the day after we arrived. We had everything we needed, plenty of space, and the communal yurt came in handy when it started to rain. We skipped rocks by the river and Rebecca allowed us to use the tubes to float down stream, which was super fun for the whole family! She also provided firewood, which helped a ton, as we always had a fire going! We will definitely stay at Rebecca’s in the future!
Had a great time at Everbear Village! Set on a cute farm right on the river, the site was perfect for our weekend stay near Asheville. Plenty of room for 7 of us to have our own space while also having perfect areas to gather for some fun together. Also it was very hard not to kidnap the friendly black cat that we nicknamed Binx!
Private, relaxing, amazing
Place was amazing! Has a group of 8-9 and everyone thought it was great. Plenty, plenty of room to spread out and smartly social distance, even though we were obviously outside. Yurts were very comfortable to sleep in and we all felt safe and loved the privacy. We were restocked with firewood and water multiple times by some of the employees that worked on the farm. Having a river so close to the camp was great. Overall, fantastic experiences had by all and we’ll be back sooner than later!
