Was there last December and again this November. This place is awesome and I guarantee there is nothing else on Hipcamp like it! Extremely private area where you are truly one with nature. Brad is a great host and his listing and photos do not do this place justice. If you’re thinking of booking this place, just do it!

Thanks Trevor and I was super happy that you made it back out to the Mountain. You are an awesome Hipcamper and straight up good guy that always leaves it better for the next one. You and your family and friends are welcome back anytime. I'll work on that Long Range platform like we discussed, Im sure its a few hundred yards at least. Stay safe and have a great one!

This was a beautiful, very remote site that was perfect for our getaway! The fall colors are gorgeous this time of year, and we were able to set up our tent to overlook the mountain views. There was easy access to the hiking trails. We didn't end up using the shower, but it looked very simple to set up, and the toilet was actually very clean! There were lots of tools in case you need to borrow something, and there were pots and pans and a kettle for cooking over the fire. Overall, an easy and relaxing camping site!

The stay was amazing and the views were beautiful! It was bit of a drive to get up to the site but if you have 4WD it’s no problem. It had everything you could need and we felt very safe and secure. Would definitely recommend and visit again!

Thanks for your stay with us Kimberly. Im happy that you got to enjoy the amazing views up there. 4x4 is a huge necessity for the site especially during bad weather due to the steep terrain getting there. Hope to see you again one day and I hope you have a great one!

First off, Brad is great, every time we had questions he was there to help! There was almost everything we needed available on site with the exception of a weed eater( the grass/weeds on campsite were very long). The hiking trails close to the site were difficult to navigate however there are many pretty attractions around.

Response from Brad , the Host, on September 12th, 2021

Thanks for staying Jamie, I appreciate guest feedback and you’ll be happy to know that a weed eater has been added to help summer guests when everything grows like crazy. Hope we see you again one day. Have a great one. Brad

Me and my two dogs had a good time at brads location. The trails inside the property lines could use some TLC. I don't recommend even attempting to go here without a 4x4 vehicle, you won't make it. Trail is big enough for a full size pickup though. (14 tundra on 35's 4high) Definitely will go back!

Thanks for staying Bailey and glad to hear you had a great time with your beautiful dogs! I agree that if you dont have a 4x4 or AWD vehicle, that my place should not be considered. Summer growth has come upon us on the mountain for sure and the Mountain Laurel is in full bloom. I did some site renovations after you left so hopefully be able you'll enjoy them on your next visit for a recharge. Have a great one!

Great, secluded campsite

Beautiful, secluded property. We loved being able to access several hiking trails on the property, some of which lead to USFS property. Many of the trails were steep and primitive, but we really enjoyed the challenge and knowing that we would not encounter other hikers. The host has a great set up at the base camp- flush toilet, solar shower, fire pit, well cleared and level camp site. With good weather and road conditions, we were easily able to access camp in a Toyota Tacoma 4x4 in 4H. We would definitely camp here again.
