The other is 120' from the river. There is gold in the river if you know how to pan.

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This was our second time staying. If you want a tiny, cute, river front, cabin out on the woods away from everything for only 50 a night...
This is definitely the spot! The owner, Adin is a great guy. Great place to swim and fish.
This was our first Hipcamp experience and it was a great one! We loved Adin’s cabin by the river. It was peaceful and quiet. Adin came down to pick up our trash and offered us some tomatoes. Other than that we were completely cut off from others as well as electronics. There is no cell phone signal at the cabin which is so nice and refreshing! We will definitely be back!
We loved our stay!
We stood for Labor Day weekend and we had the best time! Adin is the kindest most sweetest host! We travel to cabins a lot and I have to say we felt so comfortable staying here. He made us feel like we where at home. We got the cabin far from the water. Next time we will definitely be getting the one closest to the river. Our dogs absolutely loved the water! It’s clean and clear. We where able to walk them off leash in some areas only because we wanted to respect the other guest who also had there dogs staying with them too. We will be back and most likely rent out both cabins with family! Adin even made sure that we where able to get our truck in safety. The only bad thing I would probably say is my fiancé is 6’5 and 290 pounds and he barely fit in the shower lol but he made his way around it. I would recommended to bring your own sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, wash soap. Also bring food! There’s a dollar general about 10 minutes away that sells some things but the Walmart is 1 hour. This place is absolutely beautiful. Both cabins are away from each other which gives lots of privacy. There’s only one way to get to the river. Overall I don’t know if I said it enough but we loved our time here. One last thing! This is someone’s property so please respect the family that owns it and is generous enough to let people stay. We will be back soon! Thank you Adin!
The most awesome cabin in the woods
Adin's Cabin in the woods was a much needed trip away from the hustle and bustle of daily living. Our stay was nothing less than magnificent. The cabin was just perfect and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us to relax and play. It had everything we needed and more. Adin was a fantastic host and made sure we were well taken care of and went above and beyond to create a makeshift wall on the second deck so that Bebe could enjoy the outdoors and also stay safe from the other critters out there. Bebe says thanks so much, Adin! We loved swimming in the river and playing with the rubber boat and toys that were left for us to enjoy. We most definitely will be making a trip back to Adin's Cabin in the very near future! Thanks again Adin and God bless!
A very well-equipped cabin tucked away in central NC: we came to enjoy our annual tour of Pisgah and Blue Ridge Parkway, and this cabin was perfectly located for our evening touchdown. We had a blast playing in the creek each afternoon and trying to find gold nuggets (no luck, but we found some nice fossils). Exactly what we were looking for!
Best little river cabin getaway!!!
This was our second stay at adins cabins and it was just as wonderful as the first!. The cabin is cute, cozy and has everything you need for a nice river getaway. Adin is so helpful and even stayed up and came to help guide us in one evening when we went tubing a little too late hah! We cant wait to book another trip we love it so much and the price can not be beat. Do yourself a favor and book it yourself.
Beautiful getaway in the foothills!
I loved the peace and quiet here; however, I have 2 bad knees and cabin #2 was not for me, as far as outdoor activities. The cabin is parked into a hill and in order to get anywhere on foot, you have to deal with some pretty steep inclines. If you have good knees, probably not an issue.
Adin was an excellent host! He got me settled in, helped me fix the CD player, got me some movies, checked on me every day (probably because I was there alone with my dog), and even brought me fresh blueberries! They were awesome!
The cabin was great…the people that were complaining about bugs, let me just say YOU ARE IN THE MOUNTAINS! There was a nice upstairs bedroom (that I didn’t use) and downstairs was a microwave, stove, coffee pot, mini frig. The cabin had air, it had hot and cold running water, well water was pretty tasty, by the way. There’s a shower and a toilet ( albeit, I agree about the smell of urine, maybe time to put a new toilet in…it did get better after a hard rain), there’s dishes and pots. There is a deck, which was where I spent most of my time, and it was so relaxing to sit out there with my morning coffee. You also have access to a grill. All this for $50 a night…you just can’t beat it!
I will go back again, if I can get the other cabin. It sits right on the river and once you get down there, probably much less inclines. I recommend taking your 4wd or an all wheel drive like my Subaru…I had no issues with an Impreza.
Thanks Adin! Next time I’ll book cabin #1! It was very relaxing and it was just what I needed. I lost my other dog, my baby dachshund Rose, and my beagle Lily, and I, needed time to grieve. We kept a candle lit the whole time for my girl and mourned her passing. It was very cathartic.
Some things I took that were useful…a bug fogger for the inside of the cabin (mostly saw silverfish and daddy long legs and this took care of it. I let the cabin air out for 2 hours, swept up the dead bugs, that were few, and then wiped off the surfaces and washed any dishes I used. I don’t mind bugs but I don’t want to sleep with them.
A mattress cover for downstairs futon, I DID leave mine there for future campers.
ICE…it is harder to leave here than at your typical campground so make sure you have enough.
