5 acres hosted by Emily H.
My brother and I were raised exploring the woods and still enjoy a stroll in our outback woods. We are looking forward to sharing our property and beautiful nearby attractions.

PET FRIENDLY!
These sites are located along Sterling Creek on a trail in the woods.
These sites are intended for beginner campers and families who prefer to relax close to civilization. If you are looking for a deep woods, primitive site, this is not for you. It is recommended to book another site if you exceed 8 people. Please send a message if you have any questions!
PLEASE READ EACH SITE DESCRIPTION BEFORE CHOOSING A SITE.

SITE DESCRIPTIONS
Site 1/Site A is the first site along the trail and it includes a rock fire pit, a picnic table, a bench, pallets to stack your fire wood, and an additional pit with a grate for cooking. This is a large site that can fit multiple tents or campers. Campers must pass through Site A to get to other sites. The outhouse is also located at Site A.
Site 2/Site B is more secluded and it is down a steep hill. Please note that it may be difficult for some vehicles to drive back up the hill, so it may need to be parked before entering the site. With that being said, there has not been any issues thus far with cars getting back up. This site is located right next to a small frog pond. Kids love catching frogs here! This site can fit 2-3 tents. A wooden bench and a fire pit is provided at this site.
Site 3/Site C is a small, one tent site with a metal fire ring. The site is directly off the trail with a view of the creek. No other amenities are provided.
Site 4/Site D is located back off the trail and can accommodate 1 tent. This site has a rock fire pit and no other amenities are provided.

THINGS TO KNOW
There is one outhouse (blue bowl) located at Site A and it is shared with other campers, if other sites are booked. Campers must walk back through the trails to access (no more than a quarter of a mile walk).
We are located 15 minutes from the Sterling Renaissance Festival, Sterling Stage, Fair Haven State Park and beach, and the Sterling Nature Center!
***Fair Haven Beach: Approximately $8 per car. Has a sandy beach for swimming, fishing, a pier, and hiking trails.
***Sterling Nature Center: Free entry. Has a rock beach for swimming (water shoes recommended), dogs allowed on a leash, and hiking trails.
***Stering Renaissance Festival: Select weekends July-August.
There is a convenience store located a minute away for any last minute needs. Fire wood is available for purchase heading north on Route 104. Less than 10 minutes away there is a 24 hour convenience store and restaurant.
Please review check-in instructions prior to arrival as some phones do not get service. AT&T gets the best cell service, Verizon is hit or miss, and other providers such as Sprint and T-Mobile may not work.
The owner of the land, Pete, often drives down to the site to ensure the campers are settled and can answer any questions. Upon request, he can show you where the water spigot is located.
PLEASE REMEMBER:
Any trash or belongings brought in MUST be carried out. Thank you!
OTHER NOTES
*Please note that using a port-a-potty is not for everyone. If you don't feel comfortable using one, please bring your own or use the woods. This is camping after all :)
*In the spring, or after a good rain, the trails may be muddy in some areas. Please stay safe. As the summer gets hotter, the creek may dry up in some spots. If you are coming in the later summer, you shouldn't expect a great, flowing creek.
*Upon entering the sites, you will encounter Pete's collection of machinery, cars, and other equipment. Once you are on the trails, you will be surrounded by greens.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to send a message! We hope to see you soon!
