This was a wonderful stop for our family on the way to Vermont. As soon as we arrived Lance greeted us and gave us the lay of the land-pointing out all the trails that surround his peaceful pond, firewood, etc.). And, he was very helpful and kind when we got stuck in the soft grass (we parked in the wrong spot🤦🏻‍♀️) and put us in a gravel spot instead. Regardless, we enjoyed our quick stay and loved the area. We’ll be back for sure!

This is a gem of a spot. So many thanks to Lance for sharing it and to his neighbors for being such gracious hosts for our last minute visit.

We arrived quite late (10:00 pm) for our last stopover at Bally Loch on our trip home from a family reunion. Lance greeted us in the dark and helped us get our van parked behind the barn. Lance called this “site 1”, and it is nestled between barn and pond with a fire pit nearby. Instant kinship and kindness felt —we were able to peacefully tuck in, and drifted off to sleep quickly. In the morning we got back on the road early, but would have loved a swim in the enchanted pond (which was covered in mist this am). Next time! Thank you, Lance and family for sharing your gorgeous space, and for your generous spirit which graced the last leg of our long trip. ❤️🌈

Lance was an amazing host even though he was out of town when I booked last-minute. His sister, Destiny was an amazing host and I got to stay in the cute little dye-barn by the lake because it was storming. She even invited me in for oatmeal in the morning! I will definitely be staying here again on my Ohio-New York commutes :) thank you Lance and Destiny!

Idyllic place to stay! We had such a wonderful time exploring the path around the pond and watching the abundance of birds in the area. The fireflies at night were an extra treat to watch around the campfire. Thanks again Lance!

Lance was very responsive to messages leading up to our stay and met us upon arrival to give us a tour of the site. A hospitable host and very convenient stopover from a drive on I-90.

Bally Loch is such a sweet property! It’s only 30 minutes from Erie, PA and literally a stone’s throw into New York. Lance, your host, is a easy going fella. He has a beautiful four acre pond with many places around it to camp. We chose to park our van right near the waters edge and behind one of his rental condo’s that was empty for the night. He also has a small rental cottage next door and a huge barn on the other side. There are two small docks to walk out into the pond and a mowed path for exploring around.
There are several water spigots for filling up, but no toilet and there was a fire ring for a bonfire. The property feels very safe and welcoming.
We had a lovely time here and definitely recommend the place!

The lake has a mowed path so you can camp anywhere along side it.You can also pull alongside the barn here to camp or access the lake. There are two docks to fish off of.Summer dreaming.
