What a wonderful camping trip we had! I highly recommend this location - it has everything you need. Beautiful view of the lake, a boat to take out, hiking trails to explore, and a perfect fire pit to unwind. I want to rave about the sandwiches - previous reviews did not lead us astray! A great way to wake up and start your day! Thank you again so much
Row boat on the pond
It was a cold rainy stay at our site, one of the hosts was sick, so we didn’t meet them. The highlights of our stay were going out in the row boat when we first arrived before the torrential downpour, also meeting our next door campers, who had the one beautiful camp site with a view of the pond. We spent some time talking with them + they shared their apple picking bounty with us. Our hosts did try to say hello the following morning, but we had already left, excited to head out to start our day! The Portopotty bathroom was also very clean.
Nice and peaceful
Great little spot. Stephanie greeted us at the entrance and showed us to our site. The sites were marked off and was easy to park my truck right next to our spot.
The spot itself was great (site 1) and it was near the water. The fire pit was clean and had some logs next to it as well. They did have a porta John near the entrance but I brought my own little fun tent.
The little boat was so much fun for my son and the water was so pretty. Not many bugs, no bees that I noticed, the mosquitoes weren’t event that bad and usually I am a buffet for them.
Just a little heads up for people picking this place, it is near the road but the noise dies down in the evening, and it’s a residential road anyways. The spots are somewhat near but nothing that it was extremely loud or anything. Be aware as well that if you have site 1, you are near the boat so people will be walking around to get to the boat. Also, Rose apple farm was nearby which had good beer, there’s a train dinner down the road and a CVS if you forgot anything.
Awesome place! My girlfriend and I had a lovely time here. Great views and very private! Row boat was such a nice touch. Stephanie and Herb are awesome hosts and incredibly accommodating. Totally recommend getting the breakfast sandwiches they were awesome. Can’t wait to stay again.
