Fig tree Lookout P2 is my favourite spot (colour coded yellow). Lots of camping/caravan/camper space, private and some accessible cattle tracks down the steep descent to the Clarence river (good knees essential), great for exercise, exploring and adventure.

Fig tree lookout is to the right of the campsite and is a somewhat easier steep walk down to the river via cattl

Fig tree Lookout P2 is my favourite spot (colour coded yellow). Lots of camping/caravan/camper space, private and some accessible cattle tracks down the steep descent to the Clarence river (good knees essential), great for exercise, exploring and adventure.

Fig tree lookout is to the right of the campsite and is a somewhat easier steep walk down to the river via cattle trails, but has rockier access to river.  Once near the water, you may see red indicators, this is below Splinters Lookout P1 campsite zone.  This is potentially another place to tie up your canoes, using access via farm (during dry times).

Avoid cliffs and stick to the tracks.

Note: After a flood there will be flood mud down below, which usually washes away after heavy rain.

The Zig Zag trail/gully, left of Lazzas' Log, is the most direct way down to the river, which has some great deep drop offs for fishing and swimming.   Hiking boots, long sleeves and backpack are recommended, this is for experienced bush hikers only.  I have put yellow markers on trees to help navigate, so stick to the gully mostly (zig zagging will help) and continue down until you reach the yellow rope wrapped around the roots of a fallen tree at the base and other markers.  You will need to find this as your marker to know where to start your walk back up the hill again.  Additionally there is a yellow bouyancy vest with P2 on it, hanging in a tree as well, used as a marker if you are wanting to tie up your kayak at the base.  Be aware of submerged & slippery rocks.

Note: If you walk along the waterfront, down river, you will see blue indicators which is beginning of Boulder Bay P3 campsite zone. As a courtesy stay in the yellow zone.

Note: if you want to access the river by vehicle on the property, you will have to have a 4WD.  The green arrow on the map, provided after booking, will direct you to the farm to launch your canoe etc.  Please enquire if this is accessible during a wet season. Alternatively Lilydale bridge is only a 2km drive away and you don't need a 4WD for access to water for swimming/bathing etc.

There is branches and sticks laying around for a camp fire or alternatively bags of firewood are available for sale - see extras.

Feel free to take walks back along the road - respecting other campers privacy along the way.

Price is for 2 people. Additional campers are $8 each per night.  Note: There is a slight price increase for NSW Christmas school holidays. Additionally do not include children under 5 as extras.

Also, when the river is brown there will be a water tank located at P2 for domestic use only.  This will be available to other campers as well.

A mud map will be provided after booking. (Lilydale @3 minutes away, Copmanhurst is @12 minutes away, Jackadgery @25 minutes away & the Gorge @ 45 minutes away.)

Fantastic property and fantastic host to match! Ample space and privacy with a view of the river. River itself was great for swimming and kayaking. We enjoyed the scenery and exploring the property. Larissa was an amazing host from the booking all the way to departure. Extremely friendly and more than happy to help. We will hopefully be back again!

This place was a delight to camp at. My lover and I had a wonderful time together, and it felt like we had the privacy and solitude in nature we were craving. It was easy to find, the signage was clear and easy to follow, and the land itself is gorgeous. Thanks so much! Will be back for sure.

Winegrove was a spectacular and lush farm setting. Very peaceful and quiet.
We thank the owners, they were very accommodating, especially when we needed our boat trailer re-welded in a spot. Incredibly helpful.
The only down side was the sheer drop to get to the water, (with toddler/baby) although there was another swimming spot 2 mins down the road on the reserve.

We loved it that much we had to book another night.
Larissa was more than happy to welcome us onto her property. The campsite was everything the listing said it was; very private with loads of spots to fish, swim, kayak and explore. We loved our stay and will be back for sure. Thank you Larissa and Greg.
