Wattle Valley Farm lies is a 100 acre property, bounded by the iconic Wollombi Brook, which many native wildlife call home.  During your stay, you might even come across some of our friendly native residents like wombats, kangaroos, echidnas, goannas, kookaburras and black cockatoos. We also have a number of short walks you are welcome to take if you want to explore the property while you are here, including local Aboriginal cave art and our beautiful scenic river walk. Wattle Valley Farm is located in the heart of the Wollombi Valley and the Hunter Valley wine region, making it an ideal base while you explore everything the region has to offer.  The historic village of Wollombi is only five minutes up the road, and has a lively cafe scene, unique experiences and the famous Wollombi Tavern. Meanwhile, the popular Broke and Pokolbin wine regions are a short 30-40 minute drive along the beautiful, meandering country roads.

Camp at Wattle Valley Farm Wollombi
Top Spot
What a location. So close to the lovely village of Wollombi but it could be hundreds of kms away. A great Easter getaway with friends around the fire and the stars were simply stunning at night. Good facilities and Matt is a legend - very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be coming back.

Great hosts & well maintained amenities. It was a very busy long weekend with many other campers but it works well.

Camp at Wattle Valley Farm Wollombi
The land is massive and can accommodate many campers without feeling loud or crowded. There's enough room for everybody, that's what I loved the most about this place. The free hot water bath was great! Even Matt explained that the hot water might run out because the place was fully booked, but we never had any trouble with it. Just be careful with the giant ants, they do bite you, or pinch you (I'm not sure). It can be painful, but not harmful based on our observation. The road before entering the farm was a nightmare. Four-wheel drives have no problem at all. But our small, not-powerful, two-wheel drive got stuck in the pit and struggled there back and forth for 5-10 mins before getting out. Overall it's a great camping experience! Matt and Jenna were friendly. It's the second time for us to be there, we'll come back again for sure.

Camp at Wattle Valley Farm Wollombi
Visited with 2 family’s and 3 kids aged 5, 3, and 2. We were welcomed by Matt who was lovely gave us the run down of the site. Firstly camp sites are really well spaced, you’re not camping over the top of each other. Each campsite has a fire pit - you could buy wood from hosts when needed. Toilets were clean and tidy toilet and I did notice staff keep good check on toilet paper and ensured there were always some. Hot shower - amazing! Not great pressure but what to expect with off grid. Swimming hole was great kids loved it! And close to town. Make sure you come with food stocked if you run out or need more supplies drive to Cessnock (30-40min . Drive) local stores charge $12 for bread and $11 for 12 pack of eggs and $8 for 2L of milk however this is expected when away from major cities. Over all great location friendly staff. Great for camping with young children! We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend friends to stay here!! Big thanks to Matt and Jenna for hosting us over the Easter long weekend!
