Rosnay is across the road from the original Bangaroo Station homestead, and was once part of the 36,000 acre station that was subdivided in 1905. The Statham family moved to Rosnay in 1996 and began renovating the run down farm using organic and biodynamic methods. They planted the first vines in 1997, and olives in 1999, as well as thousands of native trees, all planted and grown without any chemicals. The new glamping area is on the banks of a old farm dam in the middle of the olive grove. There are sheep and alpacas, and plenty of birds and kangaroos living there too. For those who prefer not to sleep out in the elements, we offer a lovely farmstay guest house. Rosnay is proud to be part of Rivers Road Organic Farms, an organic farming community title project.  This is an exclusive, secluded retreat in our organic olive grove, on the banks of a beautiful old farm dam. The camp kitchen is in a classic Aussie style recycled tin shed, with a large deck right on the water, well appointed kitchen with gas cooker and BBQ, sink, hot and cold water (rain water), solar power, eco friendly toilet and hot shower. The tent is a classic Australian made 6m bell tent complete with a queen bed and internal mozzie net and reading light. Outdoors there is a fire tin and plenty of wood, a canoe on the dam and a farm to explore with lots of birds and kangaroos. We can help with local activities such as bike riding, walks, local attractions, farm and winery tours.

Glamping in the Olive Grove
Relaxing getaway
I had a solo trip to Rosnay over the Easter long weekend with the hopes of some R&R, and that's definitely what I got! The facilities are rustic with everything you need, including a hot shower and well equipped open air kitchen- complete with a deck overlooking the dam. The bell tent is surprisingly spacious and very cosy. I had planned to go exploring the area but ended up just chilling with a book in the hammock as it was so relaxing. The site is walking distance to the cellar door- the wine was amazing (try the sparkling Chardonnay!) and if that's not your thing there's also olives and figs. Hope to be back again, thanks for having me Sam and family!

Farmstay in the Olive Grove
The winery is amazingly beautiful. The hosts are extremely welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed the peace and the beauty of the place. The place is extremely dog friendly. The accommodation is comfortable. I recommend the wine tasting and to ask information about the story of this family-owned winery. We were fascinated by the concept at the basis of this organic winery. I strongly recommend to spend some time in this magical place. The surrounding country side is beautiful. If it is hot, there are creeks in the surrounding and there is a swimming pool in the premises of the winery. Canowindra is very close and there are shops/pubs, a museum on the ages of the fishes (strongly recommended) and a public swimming pool. We loved it.

Farmstay in the Olive Grove
Sam and his family were lovely hosts. Their property is picturesque, quiet and has everything you need. The Glamping tent has a camp kitchen that is fully stocked, electricity, shower, drop toilet and views of the dam. Sam was nice enough to give us a tour of the farm and opened the cellar door for us. Rosnay makes organic wines, preserved olives and figs and also makes olive oil. It was a delight to stay and we would recommend this place highly

Farmstay in the Olive Grove
We had a recent short, three night break at the farmstay. The kids loved the treehouse and rode their bikes round the vineyard to walk our excited dog. A great, quiet base to explore from - Richard and Sam are good hosts and we got to see wine bottling and wine tasting. Went into Canowindra for a pub dinner and to hang out at the spotless 25m outdoor pool with great coffee nearby. I’d recommend as a spot to recharge and get away for a few days

Glamping in the Olive Grove
Awesome weekend away. We celebrated our 10th anniversary there. We loved the fact it was far enough away from everything but within an hour from Orange to go enjoy some city luxury as we live in a small town ourselves. Would definitely go back with the kids.

We loved our stay at Rosnay. Everything as advertised and so much more. Perfect weekend getaway and we can’t wait to return. Sam was excellent to communicate with and always available throughout our stay.
