A beautiful, off grid, riverside campground with amazing swimming hole on private property. This private campground is located in North West NSW. 50 minutes from Tamworth. Conveniently located 20 minutes outside the pretty town of Manilla and right on the river banks of the Namoi River. Also 20 minutes from beautiful Warrabah National Park. The campground is tucked away in a little valley overlooking an idyllic stretch of windy river with an amazing swimming hole, sandy beach, tranquil rapids and a beautiful, mesmerising, majestic rock. We have four primative campsites suited to all types of large and small, self sufficient campers in RV's, caravans, camp trailers, vans and tents. All sites are unique and positioned to enhance space and privacy as well as proximity and views of the river. They all showcase the varying, natural beauty and characteristics of the landscape. You can also book our amazing, award winning glamping tent. We are not a party campsite. Our little slice of paradise is for peace and relaxation. We also need to respect and encourage the presence and abundance of birds and animals and continue to ensure it is a peaceful and quiet home for them. You can enjoy your music just as long as other campsites and the local wildlife can't hear it. Manilla, only 20 minutes away has two dump points and water refill stations as well as a good number of shops to cater to all your needs during your stay. We are not in a high traffic area so you may get to enjoy having the place all to yourself. Our campsites have good access for all types of camp set ups and are not impacted by flooding. Nor do they become boggy in wet weather due to the high sand content in our soil. You could be sitting on the warm sandy bank overlooking the river and being captivated by the surrounding beauty and the magnificence of the swimming hole. This secret little piece of paradise has been untouched for 40 years and is home to an abundance of birdlife. Birds include the colourful Rainbow bee eaters, Kingfishers, Superb Fairy Wrens, Eastern Yellow Robins, Red Browed Finch and many more. A magical place that will delight your senses and make you feel relaxed and at peace. BYO camp toilet and leave no trace. Fish in the river; cod, cat, golden perch and carp. Well behaved dogs on leash and supervised at all times are welcome. If you would like to enquire about having the place to yourselves send me a message. ACCESS CONDITIONS: To help you decide if your set up is suitable you can google Riverside Escape Camping Manilla and find 2 videos on 23 and 25 May 2022 taken of me driving up and down the track to the campsites in my old Ford Courier that is NOT 4x4. There are lots of other useful videos to get a good sense of our campsite. You will also get a sense of the distance between each site. We recognise the Kamilaroi / Gomeroi people as the traditional custodians of this land.

Enchanting with views of the River

We loved camping on Caroline's land! The space was fantastic and Caroline was lovely enough to make sure we were the only ones camping there which made it such a fantastic experience. With 6 adults and 6 kids in our group, everyone thought it was a magical place! We'd definitely come back again, it was such a great place! Thanks Caroline!

Enchanting with views of the River

United together as friends again!

My friends and I had a fabulous peaceful week!! We enjoyed that we had nobody but ourselves at the camp . The water was refreshing , sand bank and the big dead tree provided so much great entertainment for the kids!! Perfect break from the rat race!

The Lookout with amazing views

Enchanting with views of the River

Relaxation amongst the trees

We had the best, most relaxing Easter long weekend at Caroline's. Caroline was the perfect host, with very thorough information ensuring our arrival and stay was seemless. Caroline was kind enough to allow us to change sites to better suit our set ups and vehicles which we are very grateful for. She also checked in now and again over the weekend to make sure all campers were having no problems. Dogs were welcomed and well behaved and kept on leash which made for a great experience for everyone. The views of the river are stunning. Taking our kayak down stream led to some beautiful views of the flora and fauna and we enjoyed relaxing on the floaties in the water. The fishing avid among us were very happy to have caught several healthy cod. Catch and release is encouraged at Caroline's We truly had a wonderful time and will be definately be back.

Easter long weekend camping

It was our first time camping at Riverside Escape and we will definitely be coming back. The property is beautiful, the camp sites are clean and spaced well enough apart. Loved the swimming hole and we were lucky enough to catch a few fish as well. Caroline was the perfect host, polite, friendly and was happy to answer all the questions I had. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to get away for the weekend to give this place a try.
