With undulating hills of bush and farmland, we are located just 6km from Wingham and fairly close to the Manning River.
One campsite is on the ridge with nice views of the valley, near the amenities. Another campsite is down the side of the ridge with a peaceful bush outlook.
Our last site is a remote dam campsite if campers wants to park by the water (best access is with 4WD). This site is approx. 200 metres from amenities.
Campers can choose a site on arrival.
There is a toilet/toilet shower and picnic table/seating. Firewood is available for $20 and we have BBQs for hire with gas (please see extras).
The farm has hilly to steep inclines with a walking track through to the back. We can organise a drive on a vintage tractor on the farm. There is hiking trails on the farm and nearby mountain. No motor bikes or quads on property please.
The Manning River is good for fishing, water-sports, canoeing, sailboarding. Go for an adventure and canoe from Killawara Bridge to Old Bar Beach (approx 30 km). You can find some good spots for day trips - there is mountain biking at Taree. Ellenborough Falls are approximately 40 km away, and Wingham Brush is 6 km down the road. The townships of Forster and Tuncurry are 50 km away.

Perfect location for a farm stay surrounded by nature. We were the only campers that weekend so felt like we had the whole land to ourselves! Harry had the fire lighting for us each day before we arrived back from our sightseeing drives and was easy going and friendly himself.
Harry was a great host, always had the camp fire set up for us on return from our day trips. Harry went above and beyond for us, so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely remote spot on his land. Would stay again.

Harry is a lovely guy but we were disappointed with the camping (especially for the price charged) - there were no flat/level areas; the area around the shower and toilet was a bit of a junkyard, the drop toilet was in a very small cubicle, the shower room (in the back of a machinery shed) had a pile of horse manure right near the door. Needs a lot of attention to make it a nice camping experience.
Harry's property is very peaceful and secluded. Both Harry and Lindy are very friendly and accommodating He was very helpful finding us a flatter site down near the dam close to toilet access. We enjoyed a campfire and a hot shower (basic amenity)
Nice farm stay outside of Wingham, the dam site was our pick. Very quiet, owner extremely helpful with providing fire pit and timber. Toilet close by to site was convenient, basic and clean. A lot of vintage tractors on property to look at too.
A peaceful, perfect night at Harry’s. We were travelling up to Coffs from Sydney and Harry’s place was the ideal halfway stop to unwind and enjoy the stars. Harry provided more than enough firewood for an ingenious fire drum with a couple of chairs for an instant idyllic camp site. Toilet is nice and clean and the bathroom with shower is lovely and full of personality with historic pieces decorating the space. Harry’s three gorgeous horses came and made friends with us too. A real slice of paradise with lovely hosts. We’ll be back.
Tent camping on Harry's land was a wonderful experience. Everyone at Baron ridge was extremely friendly and generous (from Harry and his wife Lindy to their many pets on the property). There is a cute little dam at the campsite and the walk around the campsite is lovely as well as pet-friendly. This place has a lot of character and I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a campsite in nature but still close to town grocery stores and cafes. Thank you again to the host Harry, our family will see you again soon :)

Restful, and relaxing with nature.
Another interesting and unique Hipcamp experience.
Harry is a new Hipcamp host, and it was a pleasure to meet him.
Harry has a great property very close to Wingham, but isolated from the associated town noise.
There are many options for campers, and Harry has the equipment and supplies to create several glamping experiences.
I am looking forward to returning in the future to check out his upgrades.
My time at this camp was restful, and pleasant thanks to Harry and his families generosity
Enjoy Harries collection of vintage farm machinery, and the wildlife.
Special mention of Bugs, the families adopted Joey.
