Not quite what we were expecting!
Not well signed, and we arrived not greeted by hosts. Lady in house called Matt and Ashlee no answer, told to head to main house.
Farm too wet so told to set up in car park near house with family...not what you want for weekend away without children!
Hosts need to let guests know of weather conditions and that as a guest you won't be staying where planned.
We had messaged Matt and Ashlee that we chose not to stay but as yet no response.
Maybe a lovely stay when dry.

We had a lovely 3 night stay on Matt and Ashleys beautiful pecan farm. It was great having the big fire pit for the cold nights.
The signage wasn't very clear nor was there a clear path to the toilets and shower though once found it was easy from then on.
The local horses made a beautiful misty morning very magical, and the sunset were amazing.
Lacking some signage though once resolved this is great low key, camp spot.

Site is not creekside, is actually up by the hosts house and you cannot drive down to the creek, check before you pay the motorhome fee as you will not be driving on the flooded orchard

Site is not booked for only one group at a time. When we arrived there were at least three other groups neighbouring us.

When questioned on the location the host told me to just go where he told me and I felt so uncomfortable.

I called back to ask to be refunded only the motorhome fee of $10 ( a small portion of the booking and more than fair). I was polite but was rushed off the phone by a defensive and snappy Matt who never even apologised and told me he was busy at work.

Matt agreed to a $10 refund on the phone but has since never responded to me and has left it to Hipcamp to make up for it (I notice from earlier reviews that Matt has done this before).

We had booked this as something special as it was more expensive than our usual budget allows. There was ample opportunity to warn us that we would not be camping in the spot advertised, particularly when I contacted the host the day before to let them know that we thought the site looked lovely. I feel like they are taking advantage of travellers, not delivering as a business and then simply never responding to any refund requests.

It was the most beautiful place in a hidden valley. An adventure to get there and Matt and Ash were great hosts. We stayed and enjoyed the peace and serenity.

Great spot, although can’t give too detailed a review as we arrived after dark and left early the following day.
Farm looks like a lovely spot and amenities were great. Everything we needed :)

Ashlee & Matt are such a warm and welcoming couple and their property was lovely. Unfortunately through no fault of their own we got absolutely no sleep whatsoever due to the cows in the neighboring property who did not stop mooing and whining loudly all night long. Yes absolutely all night long! Further to that there was many trucks driving throughout night in the area, using loud exhaust brakes, which echoed through the valley.
It would have honestly been more peaceful camping on the side of the M1 highway.
Perhaps we just had an unusually noisy night, however as awesome as the hosts are, I wouldn't risk another totally sleepless night like that again.
Sorry Ashlee & Matt.
