We have a 1.5 acre homestead, broken into a main property and an annex property. With the panoramic mountain views and no neighbors but us, you will feel that you are in the middle of nowhere, even though we are only 10 minutes from a big commercial area. The stars at night go on forever in one direction, and in the other shimmer the beautiful lights of the city of Albuquerq

RV Site 4 is on our main property, near our house and the animals. RV Sites 1, 2 and 3 are on our annex property. RV Site 1 is most appropriate for smaller campers, like camper vans and truck top campers. At this time the annex property is not fenced, but it does offer more privacy than our main property. Please let us know when you book if you prefer to be in a specific site. All 4 sites are pull through sites.
Every site has it's own picnic table and fire pit. We provide an Eco-Friendly composting toilet and hand pump sink. We provide an area for you to dump your grey and black tanks and we are more than happy to pump water into your tanks. However, we are completely off grid, so we DO NOT offer any electricity or internet at this time. In addition to RVs, this site is appropriate for pop-up campers, camper vans and car top tents. However, if you are planning to tent camp or car camp, you might consider one of our tent sites.
On our off grid homestead, you are welcome to visit with the chickens, ducks, turkeys and goats. In the surrounding area, you can take a desert nature walk full of cactus, birds and rabbits. With a 10 - 30 minute drive you can be at Petroglyph National Monument, Old Town Albuquerque and Coronado Historical Site.
Please note that we are on a dirt road off of a dirt road. These roads can sometimes be difficult for lower cars or some types of RVs.

Socal feel in new mexico.
Awesome spot off the grid but close enough to town to run in if you need anything or want to do any activities. Quiet place, reminds me of Joshua Tree, California.
A wonderful place to stay!
Heidi and her husband were wonderful hosts! We loved seeing their farm and hearing their story. They were incredibly accommodating and made sure we had what we needed every day that we were there!
We loved touring their farm and learning about their property!
Highly recommend staying here and experiencing their property!
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this desert hideaway RV park. Heidi and Khalil were warm, generous hosts. We loved the fairy lights, the soon-to-be finished Breaking Bad communal kitchen and of course all the farmyard animals.
Thanks Heidi and Khalil for making our stay special!
A beacon of hope in the desert
We decided to camp at our desert homestead after our original hip camp site didn’t work out (turns out it was better suited for an RV and we have a tent trailer that requires staking) and reserved a spot at around 1 am in the morning. When we arrived it was dark and honestly somewhat creepy but when Khalil and Heidi greeted us in the morning our spirits were instantly lightened by their warm and welcoming hearts and infectious personalities. I won’t sugercoat it, their property is a work in progress but it’s such a great place if you’re into up cycling and renewable energy. Between the several farm tours and solar setup tours they offer you will not be disappointed nor out of things to do. Plus while you’re out in the middle of nowhere you’re also not really as Walmart is less than 10 minutes away, Albuquerques best pizza joint, Dions is not much further and to top it off you get some of the best 5G cell reception coming off the sandias I think we’ve ever had. It’s really a unique, one of a kind place with some of the best people running it and we will definitely be returning to this beacon of hope in the desert.
This is a simple but lovely spot to camp, not too far from the city, but with the feel of a remote location. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our time here. I have a lot of respect for the off the grid way of life embraced by our hosts.
Don’t miss this enchanting spot!
Sweet environmentally aware home and campground with very friendly and helpful folks. Loved every minute from the goats to the turkeys to the coyote calls at night! Well worth it!
