If you’re looking for a safe, quiet, calming place to camp, we welcome you to our remote creekside property nestled deep within a picturesque canyon in Northern New Mexico, only ~30 minutes from Abiqui Lake and Ghost Ranch. We have one site for pitching up to 3-4 tents next to the creek (note that this site is 20-30 feet from the parking area). At this time, we can only accommodate tent camping (no room for RVs/campers at this time). You will have access to the creek and the surrounding national forest. It is the perfect place to relax, enjoy the unique New Mexico landscape, see wildlife, and take a break from city life.

Hil's Bottom Creek
The great escape
The property was well maintained and beautiful. We had all we could have asked for, which wasn’t much. We had use of entire property minus the house. There were hiking trails and beautiful canyon to enjoy. We would love to go back if the opportunity arose.

Hil's Bottom Creek
The host'father were super nice. Didn't see the host, but I was happy how thoughtful his father was. The effort to get there was too much. So muddy I was scared of getting stuck. But the place was pretty nice. Had an outhouse, fire pit, and water. Couldn't find electricity outlet as advertised. But made due. The property is well maintained for what was being offered. I would say it was a great place and would return, if it wasn't for all the mud to get through before getting there.

Hil's Bottom Creek
Creek side oasis in New Mexico
Great spot at the Creek. Super accommodating people. It was kind of a southern hospitality kind of kindness and generosity. Perfect spot for the tent, next to the creek. The dogs loved it. We loved it. It’s hard to believe that places so cool still exist without have to pack your gear in ( we parked right next to the tent). Thanks so very much! Helga and Bud
