I think that if I was truly tent camping out in the woods for $20/night, I could understand not having working bathrooms or potable water. But for $200+ per night, that was a little outrageous- especially considering that the campsite was advertised as having those features.

The toilets didn't flush, and I feel horrible for whichever employee had to go in and scoop out all of the human soil multiple times a day, because where else we're people going to do it? There are a lot of paying campers at this campground. For $200+ /night, I would expect a reputable company to fix their toilets.

As for the drinking water: Upon doing some of my own research, it seemed that there was an e-coli outbreak in the water source around the campsite and the staff tried to remedy the lack of drinkable running water by offering unlimited water bottles to campers. Inconvenient but understandable.

Other than that, the stay was enjoyable. The lake was beautiful and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had a great time at Huttopia, a unique take on camping / glamping. The campground was clean, and the large canvas tents had all of the amenities you could ask for - linens, dishes, etc. Head up north, and then west along Rt. 112 for at least 4 parks that offer hiking and waterfalls. Great trip!

We had a great stay! Everyone was very hospitable, we went at the end of the season and the campground was very private. Great experience, would absolutely go again!

Huttopia is a DREAM! Even when it's full of people it still feels like I'm in my own private world. The tents are cozy, and everything is provided for you. Can't wait to come back next season!

This tent is part of Huttopia, a large family campground. There are many more tents, cabins and amenities than I was expecting. That being said, the tent felt brand new. Everything was exceptional, clean and well thought out. We were on campsite 2 on this listing (Canadienne 11 at Huttopia) and it wad the most wonderful babbling brook in front that really made it special! We were in in October and ther IS a heater but it can only be on in 30 min. Intervals.

Friendly, down to earth staff with a make your self at home feel! We had to arrive late, with our three dogs and they were super accommodating! Our hut was clean and had everything we needed, plus! The showers and bathrooms were clean, with hot water, not afar walk and never had to wait in line! It stormed heavily both nights and the tent stayed dry. They even had extra things at the reception for extremely reasonable pricing. Not much to offer there as activities for adults, except rent canoe/sup. they did have a pool, a nice play area for kids and sport activities with daily am and pm events like face painting and magic show. Lots of hiking trails near by and pure nature ! Highly recommend and we are planning at trip to Quebec next!

I really liked the place. I stayed in a similar tent to in Yosemite a few years back. I believe Huttopia just opened this last June, so they are completing projects. No worries if it rains when your in this 'glamping' tent. I still insisted on sleeping in my sleeping bag on the mattress. The 'Trappeur' tents by the lake seem to be closer together than the 'Canadienne' tents. The air stream with simple snacks (coffee) is a bonus! I like the idea of some luxury, while camping. Nice job!

These tents are fully outfitted with sheets, comforters, pillows, plates, glasses, cooking equipment and towels. There really wasn't anything we needed that wasn't there. We were traveling from the west coast and love camping so this was perfect. I liked our location which was towards the back of the campground near a brook. We went to sleep with sound of a running brook and I slept like baby. I would return or go to their location in Quebec in an instant. If you enjoy camping, I would recommend this place.

I had such a wonderful stay at Huttopia! Justine was so helpful and offered assistance whenever needed. My tent had everything I needed, from overhead heater to kitchen supplies and the washroom facilities were incredibly clean.

The drive up from southern NH provided beautiful views and I was able to avoid most of the weekend traffic.

Though I enjoyed a peaceful, solo trip, myself, there are plenty of activities offered on the sprawling land. It's the ideal spot for a family that just can't settle on one thing. There's a well maintained pool, playground, volleyball and basketball court, canoes, a restaurant that runs out of an old Airstream, and occasional live music at reception. If that all sounds crowded, don't be fooled! I was able to relax at my hut in quiet privacy and even enjoyed a beautiful sunrise over Huttopia's private beach.

If you want to hit the tourist spots North Conway is only a short drive (about 30 minutes) away. Plenty of shops, restaurants and breweries plus a train that runs through downtown lead by Thomas, himself! Just make sure to leave enough time for traffic as the summer months get pretty crowded.

For more natural activities you could float down the Saco River, drive up to Cathedral Ledge for a view, take a dip in Echo Lake (with an epic view of Cathedral Ledge towering over) or hit one of the many hiking trails in the area.

I might have already turned a few friends onto this hidden gem in the heart of the White Mountains! Thanks, Huttopia!!
