Description

If you prefer having a roof over your head, even deep in the wilderness, then cabin camping might be your calling. Once upon a time Fox Creek Cabin was a ranger station, and now it features only the most basic of amenities like bunk beds, a wood stove, and basic cookware. Yup, you’ll have to bring the bulk of the gear and supplies that you’ll need. But, don’t bring too much! You can’t drive up to the cabin, so you’ll have to hoof it up the 2.5-mile road. It’s basically slightly fancy backpacking, and forced minimalism at it’s finest. Once you’re here, you’ll be immersed in nature: South Cottonwood Creek, the Gallatin Mountain Range, thick forest, endless wildlife… it doesn’t get much better than this.
