Paradise for my dog
My dog loved this camp! Nice big open field for her to run around and play. The directions were easy and straightforward, there was a sign for the hipcamp and the coordinates took us all the way to the fence where to the left were nice patches of grass for us to camp. There was also a clean porta potty available, bring some toilet paper just in case. There were some patches of tall grass but plenty of patches of shorter grass especially close to the fence towards the back. In the morning you can hear all the birds, wildlife and farm animals while the sun rises over the mountains, it was enchanting. At night it was nice and quiet. I didn’t meet Caryl, but a friendly black dog came to greet us in the morning and played with my dog before we left. Overall had a great, comfortable experience and highly recommend especially if you’re camping with your dogs or if you’re looking for a base camp for Glacier national park. There was also a great Korean restaurant about 20 minutes away in polson that I recommend.
Great value and views
Amazing views despite a bit of smoke. This campsite has excellent value and is very easy to get to. We have a small Toyota RV and were able to drive through the field no problem. There were a couple of dogs barking nonstop through 1AM but I’m not sure if that’s a regular thing. They were quite loud and close, but again that could’ve been an anomaly.
Beauty. every season.
Still my favorite HipCamp of all time. Tips: have shoes which cover your feet and/or handy as the field may have some stickers mixed in with the natural pasture.
