Description

Amongst pine covered hills and a 12-acre spring-fed lake, you’ll find Clear Springs Campground. Another defining feature of this area is steep terrain, with several of the paved roads measuring in at a grade in excess of 8%. But don’t let that stop you from visiting this recreational rockstar. Swimming, picnicking, and four biking and hiking trails are all popular with visitors. You’ll just want to leave the boat trailer at home.

Grew up camping in this park. Spent many weekends as an adult with my family in this park as well. Great place to bring your kids. Has a lake to swim in at a designated spot and easy hiking trails to enjoy. Natchez is only about 18 miles away if you want to go into town. Good roads, nice people, and a quiet setting with a beautiful National Forest. You won’t be disappointed if you like being in the middle of the “sticks”, where there are no loud noises or annoying neighbors. Great place to get away.

Probably one of my favorite places to Camp (either tent or popup). Clear Springs Campground - a USFS campground is located near Roxie, MS between Bude and Natchez, MS off Hwy. 84/98 nestled in the heart of the Homochitto National Forest. Sites are first come first serve, with 20 sites with elec. and a seperate primitive camp area. Two seperate hot/cold water shower/bath facilities are present. Hiking & Biking trails. Even in the summer, the large tree canopy keeps almost all sites in the shade!
