It's hard to believe you're in the city of Duluth when camped here at Listening Point. This campsite is surrounded by a beautiful forest on every side. The popup trailer is perched on one of the highest points of the property, and through the trees the vista is splendid. Inside the camper you'll find almost all the comforts of home. On one end is a spacious king size bed and the other end has a full size bed. The table folds down to a single bed. Be sure to bring sleeping bags or your own bedding. The table seats four comfortably and a propane heater will keep everyone toasty on the cooler nights in Duluth. The kitchen is typical of a camper with a three-burner stove, small electric refrigerator, and sink for washing dishes. We'll leave a stainless steel container of drinking water on the counter and a water spigot is just outside the camper. The outhouse is just a short walk down the main road.

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Fantastic as always! With the trails they have, our seven year old had as much fun there as anywhere in the area and the owners, Chris and Linda are SO nice it makes our decision for where to stay easy. We look forward to our next adventure and you know where we will be staying!
Wonderful hidden treasure
Fantastic hidden treasure in the city of Duluth! Chris and Linda are absolute gems of hosts - super friendly without being overbearing. Lots of small touches make their retreat very special. Gotta try the Big Swing while there. Recommend to anyone who wants a softer camping experience.
Linda and Chris are wonderful hosts. We rented Listening Point, the Stuga, and the Canvas Cottage as a graduation present for our daughter and her friends and they had a fabulous long weekend together before they all head off to college. They made some great memories.
Wonderful hosts, beautiful location
We absolutely loved our stay at Listening Point! Chris and Linda are so incredibly welcoming, and just wonderful people. You can't beat their location - so close to anything you want to do in Duluth, but feels like you're way out in the woods. Our kids (8 & 11) and my husband were obsessed with the swings! We didn't have time to explore the trails surrounding the property, but we have set a goal to return and stay in every one of the lodging options at Balsam Ridge, so we'll get to them!
You’ll feel like family here
What an amazing place! I was blown away at the hospitality of the hosts the first time we stayed here, but someone how they found a way to make this stay even more memorable! There were many improvements since the last time we were here and my only regret is not staying long enough to enjoy everything they had to offer. The hosts are extremely kind and never hesitated to meet our smallest of requests. This is a very family friendly place but sites are spaced out enough to still feel like a quiet and secluded getaway. This is the type of place you come back to year after year to build memories that will last a lifetime. Definitely my favorite hip camp destination hands down!
An oasis nearer than thought...
i had a great time...! i was able to relax prior to running a marathon the next day and then to relax after running... it was perfectly quiet and remote but let me be able to access some luxuries nearby... would highly recommend... hosts were amazing...!
