Forest lakeside camping

When we arrived it was not clear where we should go, so we tried to call the host but the number listed is not in service. We tried to knock at the house on the property, and the guy came to the window bit did not answer the door. When we finally did figure out where we were going, we were not aware that we would have to drive down what's basically an unused and untamed two-track. When we finally found the sight there was trash everywhere from what I assume was the last group that stayed. There is not potable water as listed, and the lake you are told you can bathe in is not swimmable from the shore and the boat left by the broken dock is FULL of water. We were also told we could bring a canoe or a boat but I’m glad we didn’t, it would not have been easy to get the boat in the water and the dock is a huge hazard. Wasn't too bad for a quick stay but wouldn't recommend for someone looking for a few nights and definitely not if you are looking for somewhere with potable water! Would also probably not be the best for a larger group if you’re wanting to put all your tents by the main site. There are a few spots on the way down the drive that more tents could be set up but those sites dont have a fire pit.

Also, I had sent several messages to the host well in advance of our trip, with only one response. And my request for additional photos of the site went unanswered. I only asked since there’s not really any clear photos of the site.
