Beautiful moonlit gem
Duane and Marcy have such a beautiful place, they invited us with warmth and gave us a walk through of the camp site. It’s nestled next to a pond and it has such a beautiful view of the stars and moon. We told them when we would arrive and they already had us a fire roaring and ready to go. They provided us with fire wood and were so nice. I will definitely be back and recommend this to any happy camper!!!
New favorite place!
Duane & March are very nice hosts with great personalities! They are very accommodating and the indoor bathroom, fridge access, and microwave are luxuries you don't normally find, but are great for making it a quick and easy retreat. The pond is just lovely. It was rainy and chilly when we stayed, but we had the best time! Just relaxing around the fire enjoying the view and company (some friends joined us for the weekend) all day was great. It would be a blast in the summer when it's warm enough to use the paddle boats and kayaks. Or swim in the pond or pool. Our rescue duck joined us and just loved the pond and hunting for crawfish, worms, grasshoppers, and whatever else she found! Lol. Marcy goes all out for Halloween and she was setting up her barn. That would be loads of fun and I'm thinking of returning next season for that. The people and property are really awesome and I will absolutely be back.
Frogs and fireflies
We had a wonderful stay at Marcie's place. The campsite is in her "back yard"... 10 acres of lush green fields with a lake for swimming or kayaking, bordered by forest and maize fields.
We were given a really warm welcome by Duane, who showed us around and made sure we knew where everything was.
Nothing was too much trouble.
It wad very hot and humid so we were able to use the pool or take a dip in the lake. Marcie offered us a bit of respite from the heat in her house with the A. C.
We didn't have a table, and one miraculously turned up while we were out... We were getting eaten by mozzies and they fogged our site for us with permethrin.
They sent is away with Popsicles for the kids too!!
What a wonderful place with lovely people.
The frogs in the pond are totally brilliant too - they dive in when they see you coming and say Wheep! Hahah
