Our small group of four really enjoyed tent camping on Sarah's land! We camped at site #3, by the river during Halloween weekend for a relaxing trip. Aside from the nightly chill, we highly recommend this spot, its secluded and unique right by the river which makes it all the more reason to come here if you enjoy fishing! Bike trail is close by for easy access, and the walk from the parking lot to our campsite wasn't far at all, just be prepared to carry your stuff to your site.

Sarah was friendly and greeted us when we arrived, she gave us a quick tour of the place before letting us enjoy her property! An outhouse is available as well and isn't far from the parking lot and the campsites, it is a bit on the small size but it's definitely better than no outhouse. We'll no doubt be back in the future!!

Sarah’s campsites were absolutely beautiful! The river access was fantastic with great fishing and swimming. There is a little walk from the parking so keep that in mind for hauling supplies from car but that added to the isolation and experience. Great Spot!

My 2 night camping at Sarah’s property was great. Quiet, beautiful view of the river and right by the Pere-Marquette rail trail. The directions were clear and communication was good. Hope to come back.

Camping at Doriath Springs was nothing but a joy! We tent-camped at site 3 along the river and were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves so had lots of privacy, which was a much-needed sanctuary over the Fourth of July hubub. The site is blanketed in beautiful wildflowers, yarrow, daisies and daylilies and the land is cut with a small, clear stream great for dipping your feet in and getting a refresher (also a wonderful soundscape to sleep to!) Spotted a large turtle traversing across our camp as well as some little froggies in the stream. Access to the bike trail was super close and a great footpath as well. Will definitely find a way to camp here again!

If you’re searching for a great place to rest near Mitchell State Park, Doriath Springs is an excellent choice.

This Hipcamp boasts a relaxed atmosphere and beautiful natural scenery. After a pleasant drive down a gravel road, this secluded riverside property greets you at the end of the cul-de-sac.

My husband and I loved the peaceful simplicity of Doriath Springs. We lodged in a simple room with a comfortable bed and climate control options. We arrived late at night after traveling all day, so we were just seeking a quiet night’s sleep in a clean place. That’s exactly what we got! Thanks to our host for her excellent communication, and for seamlessly accommodating our late arrival.

The next morning, after a restorative night’s sleep, we explored the grounds of Doriath Springs. The property backs up to a wide, gently flowing river. We enjoyed walking the footpaths near the river and relaxing on the bench thoughtfully placed there. During our walk, we spotted numerous wild flowers and varying bird species. Just off the path we found the available tent campsites, which looked perfect for a night on the ground.

For a quiet location, and a beautiful environment, Doriath Springs is a wonderful choice. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would stay here again.

Camping here is absolutely beautiful. Sarah is also a gracious host! Amenities offered make camping so much more enjoyable. Non stop flow of water running from the creek to the river makes for an extremely relaxing visit.

What a special spot to camp! The spring is clear, and musical which creates such a cool and calming vibe. The stars are bright and there is shade and sun. Sarah has the most pleasant outhouse: bug free, scent free and creative. So cool to be sandwiched between the Muskegon River and A Rail to Trails Bike Path which create carless options.
