Bear Branch Creekside (aka "Hangtown") is a cool, quiet spot offering a great escape for smaller groups that love being outside. It is on the neighboring property of our 100-acre farm and allows access to our hiking trails and mellow creeks. The firepit and hammock area is a short distance from the creek where there is a large, flat area for tents. During extreme rains and weather, it may be necessary to keep the tents closer to the fire pit area since the creek sometimes rises. Our trail system passes through the site but there is not much traffic. We encourage hammocking. The record so far is 3. Very beatable if you bring a few extras hammocks.

Lovely, private creekside campsite!
We had a lovely stay at Bear Branch Creekside. We brought our Teardrop Trailer and had plenty of room to set up. Private site right by the creek, firewood is readily available and fire ring. Clean portable toilet available on site. Hosts were friendly and answered any questions. Would highly recommend!
Thank you so much. We had a wonderful time and the campsight is just gorgeous!! We recommend watching the sunrise!! It was so pretty. Benjamin is great and responded to all my questions and was a wonderful host. We will be coming back!
Nice site along a crystal clear creek. No frills other than a very clean outhouse, but wasn’t looking for anything else. Ben was very responsive but respected privacy as well. Several quality breweries in the area. Added bonus, super friendly dog would come check on me periodically and chill for a while!
A perfect getaway spot
Fabulous camping to take a step back but not ready for primitive. Privie on site (very clean w/paper and hand cleaner), 2 fire rings with wood provided.
Great tree canopy with star gazing steps away; fall asleep to the sound of the creek and crickets; plenty of space for several tents and cars.
Our host came by to introduce himself, explain the lay of the land and nearby trails and make sure we were settling in. He stopped by each day to make sure everything was going well, and to offer water....And even jump started my car when it refused to leave!
Quite a lovely weekend.
(*Suggest bring jugs of water and portable table or two).
This was a great camp spot! Lots of shade from the trees and we were able to hang 5 hammocks (room for more too) and our dogs loved the creek. The porta-potty was a short walk from the fire pit and very clean. A nice quiet camp with the sounds of the creek. Would recommend bringing a table if you like to cook on a camp stove or a grill for over the fire.
This was our first experience with HipCamp and we'll certainly use again. Bear Branch Creekside was a nice and relaxing campsite. We really enjoyed the sounds of nature this time of year. We felt like we were secluded and tucked away on the farm, which was what we were looking for. But only a short distance away from stores if needed.
This site was such an awesome place to camp. Ben checked in when we arrived to see if we needed anything and the property/trails are awesome to explore. We loved having the perfect setup for our hammocks at the site and the fire pit is awesome. A great place to getaway and relax :) We will be back for sure!
Great campsite :)
This is a beautiful campsite right on the creek. My girlfriend and I set up our tent near the creek and could relax while listening to the water as it made its way past us. The two chairs provided were nice , as we didn’t have any. It feels private enough, yet was still close enough to a Walmart when we realized we needed a few additional camping supplies upon arrival . Although we never needed anything from the host, he made sure we were happy and i’m sure he would have helped us with anything had we needed it.
