Gypsy wagon cabin with double loft bed near Schoodic on the bay a short walk away from beach. Make your home in a rustic cabin in the quiet Maine woods, in a small meadow clearing of sweet and sensitive fern, a walk away from the ocean amongst peaceful woods,

Location: Property has no immediate neighbors around but is surrounded by tranquil nature preserve with trails through woodlands; a magical forest & walkable beach. Site is not totally secluded or private as there are two sites 50 and 150 yards away (cabin and tent site) and a shared portopotty, and may be preserve guests passing by on the adjacent trails Bathroom is not too far off (1-2min wall) that has pumped twice a week due to shoreline ordinance zoning restrictions, keep in mind we are not a traditional campground we are a private residential home and wood lot, just homeowners taking care of some acreage and slowly restoring and building things. Love hosting guests. Not like a traditional campground with normal amenities, we aim for more privacy between sites for peace and quiet. Quick walk to the water. If you have a big rig or want Wi-Fi book at west bay rv or schoodic woods, we aim to instead provide a rustic, simple, barebones & most importantly quiet peace and solace in nature.

Cabin: is RUSTIC, handbuilt recently 'remodeled' with love; it has windows doors and new interior screens to keep all bugs out but allow for ample airflow. Cabin will provide some insulation in windbreak but is proportional to outdoor temps. Windows are currently closed, you may crack them for airflow. ABOUT THE SPACE:

Contents: 2 chairs and picnic table with umbrella, cabin with double loft bed, propane heater in case of chilly night (you supply 1 lb canisters or tank) games/books in case of rainy day or restless mind, grate for cooking over fire, one small cast iron skillet, fire pit.

Bed/bedding: has a small futon-sized double/full 50x70 mattress w cover. The bed is cozy, lofted and not suited to long term stays for guests over 6’2” who may likely feel a bit cramped fair warning. BYO camp gear, sleeping bags/bedding or linen rental (cotton sheets, wool blanket/down comforter, down pillows and Turkish sand free towels during summer months) is available for two guests’ duration of booking for a $40 fee arranged and paid with 48 hrs notice necessary.. As a courtesy to Mother Earth we encourage guests to bring their own bedding (more eco-friendly! And for the most part guests already have bedding) but will try to provide so if need be.

Lighting: Gypsy Wagon Caravan cabin has minimal solar lights on exterior and electric tea lights inside, however. It gets very dark here, please bring a headlamp/flashlight your gear and a sense of adventure.

Wood: We usually try to stock firewood for guests if our schedules allow, if you have “pre-paid” for bundles through add-ons in your booking it means we will have firewood for you reserved here—or byo purchased locally. If you have selected bundles we will make a note to have enough split dried wood for you, if you have selected multiple double bundles we will try to ensure they are waiting for you at your site.

About us: We love making new friends, welcoming people to our property, and are happy to answer any questions prior to your trip-- we provide new visitors to the area with a guide to The Point, the Schoodic Peninsula & Acadia.

We aim to provide a place for quiet time in nature for seekers of peace to gain a better relationship and appreciation with nature in a world that has forgotten the importance and connection we all have with Mother Earth & the planet that sustains us whilst not breaking the peace our small town still contains. Please keep your speed down while driving on our neighborhood roads.

Location: Located in Gouldsboro, Maine on our property, home and happy place, a home we are working to renovate and land we are actively stewarding, bordered by conservation 65 acres preserve easement on all sides with well maintained hiking trails to explore, and a mile of walkable beach. We stayed in the Wagon and it was absolutely lovely. Lily was a great host - she had water and other amenities already there as well as a super detailed booklet about the surrounding area with some great recommendations (we went to the lobster place, it was on point). The place was very well kept and very clean. Arrival details were very specific so we didn’t have too much trouble finding the wagon, even in the dark. The morning was beautiful - we made eggs over the fire and walked along the beach.

Lily has given all of us a gift. This is the coolest little wagon cabin in a gorgeous spot right near the ocean but also nestled in the woods. Couldn’t recommend this any higher!

Wow! What a stunning location and a beautifully crafted wagon. I felt like it was straight out of a story book. Lily put in so much effort in making this place experiential. The town of Ellsworth has a good health store + an awesome Sri Lankan restaurant that can’t be missed! The point had such a stunning view of the sunset and we loved watching the tides come in and out. Thank you so much for having us, we will definitely return!

Lily has an amazing vision for her property out in Taft Point. We stayed for two nights in the Wagon and it was such a great experience. You cant go wrong with this camping here. Bring your own pillows and a blanket, and enjoy some gorgeous sunsets, play some games, read some books and relax by a campfire. We stayed here to go to Acadia and Bar Harbor and it was most definitely a place that I would stay again.

The cabin was simple and sweet. The beach area was gorgeous and the option to make a campfire out in the woods was a nice touch. Lily was very communicative and made sure our stay was comfortable!

We found the Wagon to be very cozy and charming! The bed was comfortable and well protected with a plastic cover. We brought our own bedding. You can see glimpses of the ocean down through the trees and walk down to a picturesque sand and rock beach. It was quiet, relaxing, and a great place to explore the Schoodic region. We hiked Schoodic Mountain, swam in Donnell Pond and canoed around Jones Pond. We are so grateful to Lily for creating and sharing this camping experience, and we'd love to come back.

This is easily one of my very favorite places I’ve ever stayed. The wagon was so unique and well kept. The bed was clean and comfortable. The host greeted us and showed us around her garden, and was very willing to answer any questions. I definitely suggest asking her for tips, she has a great document she’ll send you with a lot of info. The view from the beach was incredible. We easily could have spent an entire day exploring the area around the wagon. I DEFINITELY would recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at Lily’s place. The Wagon was cozy and well stocked with cute lights and supplies for cooking over the fire. The pictures of the beach don’t quite do the incredible view justice: we watched the sun set over the bay and it was magnificent! Lily was a great host; she gave us veggies from her garden, shared paddling tips, and put together an extensive guide with local sites that we read through from cover to cover. We’d love to come back—thank you, Lily!
