We are an up and coming homestead on a property we bought Spring 2021. It is a fixer upper 1850s farmhouse with a big old barn foundation. Lots of dreams underway. Let us know if you are tent/car/RV camping so we can best accommodate you.

About the Property:

Tall white pines, beautiful brook, pond, and forest. Our property is next to a wooded area owned by a lumber company. You can wander down to the brook and walk through endless uncommonly traveled forest. We have heard there is a waterfall in there too but haven't stopped house projects to go check it out ourselves.

As of late, we have been settling in with our two adorable cats. We have the house just enough fixed up where we can start putting things on the walls. We have a craft room with many sewing machines to which you are welcome to if interested. We also have most tools for any job and are particularly familiar with hand woodworking tools. Our next big thing is fixing up a woodshed so then we can move on to either renovating a camper or start tearing down a barn down the road, using the materials to build the barn at our house. And of course, we are always needing to tidy up the garden and start landscaping. Maybe a deer fence is in our future this fall.

Searsmont is a great little town with a general store - Fraternity Village. They serve food and we hear have a great breakfast pizza. The library is a great town asset and we also have a lively brewery called Threshers with music every weekend. All of those places are just about a five minute drive.

Things to do Nearby:

- We are 20 minutes away from Belfast, Camden and Lincolnville Beach.

- About a 10 minute drive to the backside of Camden Hills, where you can find great hikes, and even better views!

- Jam Brook is next door, which is a very popular spot for hiking and fishing.

Please let us know if you have any questions and we look forward to your visit!

Sara Beth and her husband Daniel were so welcoming and kind! They let us use their bathroom, kitchen & land as we needed. They also have 2 very cute cats that loved to be pet. Threshers brewery is close by & they had live music Saturday night. Would definitely recommend!

Sara Beth and Daniel were great hosts. Loved picking some blueberries and putting them into pancakes for breakfast. Threshers Brewing right down the road is a must stop for a drink or seltzer.
