WELCOME TO WOORAMEL RIVER RETREAT! Join our happy campers along the riverbank and experience the wonders of Wooramel! A unique station campground nestled under the majestic gum trees on the banks of the Wooramel River. Relax in the naturally heated therapeutic artesian bore baths from the Birdrong and enjoy the space; abundant bird and wildlife; private camp fires; amazing night skies and the friendly outback atmosphere. 120 kms south of Carnarvon, 2 kms off the North West Coastal Highway on Western Australia's Coral Coast. ​Open from 1st March to 1st December.

Large shady un-powered sites with own fire pit situated along the river bank. Unique tank bathrooms and a camp kitchen are within close walking distance. We have lots of non potable water that can be accessed from camp kitchen and toilet blocks but please remember to bring your own drinking water. Generators are allowed in designated area between 8am - 5pm only. No collection of firewood allowed on the property. Individual site numbers are not allocated. Infants - under 3 years of age are free Children - 4 -17 years old

The Flats Camp Site

Large un-powered sites with own fire pit situated back from the riverside, great for larger rigs that prefer a bit more space out on the flats. These sites are more exposed to the elements like winds and dust. Unique tank bathrooms located within 100- 200m walking distance. Natural artesian baths are located 600m away. We have lots of non potable water that can be accessed from camp kitchen and toilet blocks but please remember to bring your own drinking water. The use of generators are allowed on these sites between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. No collection of firewood allowed on the property. Individual site numbers are not allocated. Infants - under 3 years of age are free Children - 4 - 17years old Please note that there is no power in our campground.

Riverside Camp Site
The station was the favourite part of our 2 week holiday. With good food, entertainment and the natural hot springs it was perfect. We just struggled a little with no power because of our little bub and warming bottles. Lots of space though and great atmosphere. Going to stay for another couple of nights next time.

Great spaces under magnificent trees on the banks of a beautiful, broad (dry) river, just off the Highway, but remarkably quiet. A bunch of happy campers spread over plenty of space. Even better was the flexibility shown when we needed to make a hasty date change. Thanks so much, Grace.

Just a nice spot to sit back and relax and unwind for a day or two. Artesian pools are nice and very popular. The place has a nice vibe. Good friendly staff as well who were always happy to answer a question or two.

Great open spaces to camp and comfortable facilities. Nice relaxed atmosphere and plenty of options for camping experience. Fantastic food at the Cafe.

A lovely space. We wished we’d stayed more than one night. We loved the creativity that went into making their amenities and the cafe. The upside down river was a surprise but beautiful nevertheless. We’d loved to visit again.
