Waddi Bush Camp and Caravan Park

When we arrived, we went from building to building trying to find a way to check in, We had no signal at all. were concerned that we were in the wrong place. Anyway, went and plugged into a site, we were the only campers. Thought we would have a quiet couple of nights because we had no comms, but luckily a farm worker came past and gave us the wifi password. When we got past worrying that we were squatters,we explored what must have been millions of dollars of investment a long time ago. It was like a ghost town to us.. I called it Was a Waddi farm resort. Because we were the only campers, it was very relaxing. My helpful wife swept and mopped the laundry and bought in the worker's clothes from the line because the rain was coming... not sure that they were impressed :)

The place was absolutely fantastic, beautifully situated. Unfortunately, the entire complex is quite neglected and unkempt. A real shame for such a beautiful place.

Watch out for the additional guest fee. We were a group of 4 people in one bay and paid $260 for 2 nights. Definitely not worth it

We had an amazing camping experience at Waddi bush camp! The site allowed campfires, which made evenings really special. Hot showers and clean toilets were a huge plus. Our host was incredibly kind—personally brought us firewood, which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend for a comfortable yet authentic outdoor stay

A good bush camping site

The campground is a bit hard so bring either some screw in pegs or long durable pegs that could dig into hard ground. It has enough space for every camper to feel private. And ablution blocks are clean and kept tidy during our stay. The host was really nice and welcomed us on our campsite. Make sure to follow the map that was sent by the hosts so you won’t get lost. Also, the road is unsealed for about 4kms going into the campgrounds so consider this as well when driving in. All in all it was a good experience camping in the bush with access to a walking trail which looks so beautiful at sunrise. And because there wasn’t any much light pollution you’ll be able to see the stars so bright at night which is a plus.

Lovely Good Friday

Apartment 8

My partner and I felt lucky to find apartment number 8 on Good Friday night. We spent the day in Jurien Bay and managed to book it last minute through HipCamp. It was like a godsend. The directions to the place were clear. When we arrived in the middle of the night, we were surprised by the size of the parking lot, which is quite large, and by how cozy the place seemed, with lots of plants around. We were warmly welcomed by Mrs. Lydia, she gave us directions and instructions to help us settle in. The kitchen was excellent and well equipped, and the living room was quite spacious and had a television. Our hostess even gave us instant coffee to drink the next morning. The bathroom has hot water and works well. She left extra towels, which is a great help for travelers! Also, since it was cold, it was great to find blankets and a warm light in the room. In the morning, we had coffee listening to the birds singing and took a walk around the property. The diversity of birds is incredible, the place is magical and full of good vibes. I highly recommend it, and we will return one day. Thank you for your great hospitality, dear Lydia.

Overall it was a good experience. Let down at the start though as we went to check in and was told there was no "room" left where I had booked! Isn't that the point of booking to secure your spot? Host ended up putting us inbetween all the caravan spots. It wasn't too bad I guess but was fairly close to other campers then would of preferred. As well as being in the walk way from the caravan spots to the toilet block. Constant traffic as Easter Weekend was busy there. The hosts were nice though, the showers/toilets were standard. Cleaned daily and always stocked. No complaints there. I really admire what they are trying to build in the restaurant/store building. The family have plans and are trying to make it more communal for all campers. I see the potential. I would stay again, but I'd book the powered caravan sites over the grassed tent, even though I'm in a tent. Just to make sure I have my space.

Camp sites are a little close to each other, but you still have plenty of space for yourself. Powered site and water available with toilets and showers. Free WIFI however it was out of range for the most part but it’s there. Would recommend and come back again!

7 Waddi Bush Camp

I loved it! We took our two year old camping for two nights and it was so cute. Real out back Australia vibes. Great shower and toilet facilities. Very relaxing with an Unreal view of the stars. Amazing hosts. Stayed as a last minute long weekend trip so it was the only site available and even though it was a bit of a drive to get into Jurien I would 100% book again.

This camping cost for a tent 42$ p/n BUT there was no camp kitchen, no fridge at all and a huge delay in maintenance!! for the shower and toilet facilities. The woman was very polite and helpfull and offered her fridge to use, beatifull spot to stay but to expensive for the accomodation itself

Quiet, peaceful but old and rundown

Cabin 3

Waddi Bush is a very quiet and peaceful spot which we absolutely loved. Unfortunately the facilities are not as advertised. No camp kitchen or cooking equipment, no BBQ (although we were told one can be made available), the pool is out of action with no intention of repair, the shower and toilet block is extremely dirty and unmanaged. Children's play equipment was dangerous (eg:swing set was missing a leg) fortunately we didn't have children so for us this wasn't an issue. Prices for staying need some serious attention as they do not reflect the state of despair the camp is in. We booked Cabin 3 which we can't rate at all as this cabin is lived in full time by a farm worker. This meant we were 'upgraded' to a self contained chalet as the hosts had no other option for us anyway. Noah and Lydia were lovely, friendly and would be willing to help in any situation. They were prompt to answer all messages I sent and helped out with the chromecast so we could watch a movie with no hesitation. Definitely a missed opportunity at this camp as the potential is through the roof. Just needs some serious TLC. We were able to take our quad bike which was a bonus being able to explore the surroundings and have a little bit of fun in the outdoors on that!

Lydia was lovely and very friendly. Toilet block was old but clean. No drinking water available. We met all sorts of people and it was very relaxing. Pretty run down but lots of potential.

The views are amazing. But dissapointed with the facilities. They say there is a pool. kitchen and kids play area, all which was not working, broken or out of order. Only the toilets and showers were functioning. We were dissapointed by that initially as we paid over AUD80 for this basic campsite. The views however were amazing and so when we left that's all the memory we took with us.

5 Waddi Bush Camp

Had a great night stay at Waddi Bush Camp! Great bathroom and water facilities, friendly host, and beautiful views. There were spots for having a nice campfire and creating memories with friends. Site #5 does have a light at the site, so if you are looking for an extra-dark campsite, try another site. Great time overall- Will be back! thank you!

The camping was awesome at Waddi farm. Owner Lydia and her family are lovely. The camp was peaceful annd the toilet and shower block was well maintained. Camp fires allowed.

What a great place. Peaceful, well managed. The apartment is exactly what you need after a brilliant day exploring the vast property. My hosts are fantastic. From the first meeting, I felt like we were old friends and absolutely any little request or question was responded to with a smile and interest. Very refreshing to see these days.

Noah and Lydia were lovely to communicate with and the campsite was nice. The toilets were a bit dirty though... and it was very windy for camping, I would suggest staying in the cabin for a windy night!
