We are a family homestead on 5 acres planted out to permaculture principles back in the late 70's with some 40 different varieties of fruit and nut trees to graze on. Our Toobs are repurposed 2.1m diameter by 2.4m deep concrete pipes with one way glass, a queen size bed, 2 small bedside tables, light, power points, electric blanket(winter), pedestal fan (summer)all linen, towel and curtains for privacy. Internal volume is just over 9m3. They've been called glamping pods, concrete tents, micro habitats, sleep stations. . . .but at heart, they're an immersive experience. How they look, where they are, the way you sleep and where you wake up is an altogether novel experience that we feel most people will enjoy. Toobs are serviced by a shared safari-style wash house with hot water shower and composting loo. Our block is on the Rails to Trails beside the Margaret River. Main Street and cafe strip are a short 10 minute forest walk away. We are popular with mountain bikers due to our close proximity (ride to trails) MR's MTB trails. Surfer's Point and Prevelly are 9kms away. We have laying hens, horses, a large and active Ring Tail possum tribe and vegetable garden. CAVEATS: -Just to be clear, we encourage our guests to eat out and we do NOT have kitchen and/or cooking facilities. - Our Toobs are tiny spaces and they are not everyone's cup of tea. Please read the reviews for a fair assessment of what we offer. - Also, we are NOT party people and value your privacy and respect for our rural lifestyle and those of other guests.

Toob 1 is beside Toob 2 and shares a small paved deck and chairs. Each Toob has a queen sized bed with sufficient standing room and storage of luggage under the bed and curtains for night time privacy. The Toobs are repurposed cement pipes (2.1m diameter, 2.4m deep) with glass frontage. Each Toob can sleep two people and is provided with Egyptian cotton linen, duvet, pillows and towel. A small bedside table has a light and 4 x power points for charging devices. In winter an electric blanket is provided and in summer a pedestal fan.

Toob 3 is on the edge of the turning circle beneath a carob tree and has it's number on the door key. Each Toob has a queen sized bed with sufficient standing room and storage of luggage under the bed and curtains for night time privacy. The Toobs are repurposed cement pipes (2.1m diameter, 2.4m deep) with glass frontage. Each Toob can sleep two people and is provided with Egyptian cotton linen, duvet, pillows and towel. A small bedside table has a light and 4 x power points for charging devices. In winter an electric blanket is provided and in summer a pedestal fan.

Toob 4 is for those who only have one night to stay. It has it's own deck and lights and linen and towel and short walk to bathroom. We price this up because we encourage people to do a minimum 2 night stay, but understand that some people are only here for a short time.

Great spot in the trees, close to bush and walking trails, comfy little pod. Love the outdoor shower and compost toilet. Good for someone like me who wanted minimal distractions and brought my own chair/table/camp stove. Friendly host.

Great little spot to get away for a bit. Perfect and unique little setup, exactly what I was looking for when looking to stay at Margaret River for a couple of nights.

We had a lovely weekend at Toobizmo! The toobs were cozy and comfortable, the surroundings were gorgeous, and the outdoor bathroom and shower were downright magical. Super easy access into Margaret River village on foot. Richard was really lovely, responsive, and helpful.

Great place to stay! What a cool experience. The beds were really comfy. The tubes have a cosy vibe to them. It was a little cold (we did stay in mid July 😂) but with the electric blanket it was fine. The outdoor shower / toilet were cool too. Would recommend!

I loved how private the Pods felt and how warm they were, even in the winter! Great location from the town with an easy 15 min walk through the woods into town. Heard no noise apart from Kangaroos when I got back late at night which was amazing. Will defo come back!

For a perfect getaway in what seems to be the middle of the countryside, but is indeed a few minutes walk from Margaret River, through the forest, Richard's Toobizmos were the ideal option. Fun accommodation concept and community-oriented living areas made the stay very enjoyable.

1-Night-Only Toob4
My partner and I stayed for one night , although the weather was a little wet the accommodation was extremely cozy and relaxing. The outdoor shower in the rain was lovely and we both loved waking up to the beautiful garden filled with birds. Would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and easy place to stay . Also a short walk through the bush to the brewery or town :)

Great place to stay as a solo traveler. Clever concept, with minimal impact on surroundings. I did take an electric kettle..can't manage without a cup of tea. 4 plug power board in toob. Heaps of storage space under the bed.

It was a different experience with both my dog and I enjoying our time. Richard was very nice and helpful, and the children were lovely. Pepper the pup was also a big hit. The location was great with walking trails on the door stop, including one to town. It was ten minutes to the beach. However I am not convinced about the accommodation. If you are tall it would probably be hard to fit in the space, which is essentially an elevated double bed and about 60 centimetres between the bed and the door. The days were hot, making the space uncomfortable. I am not sure what one would do if it was raining. There is also limited privacy. But it seems to be a work in progress and has possibilities.

The tubes were a great short stop stay for us while in Margs. Very comfy beds and such a cool idea for a stay. Totally like a Hobbit hideout haha. Looks like it's all getting done up a bit, but would love to see a seating area to have a wine in the arvo :) thanks!
