A TRULY FEEL GOOD GET AWAY If you are looking for a truly unique and memorable get away with family and friends then the fabulous Sandalwood Downs in Toodyay is the place to stay. This is where you are up close and personal with the animals. Expect the very friendly donkeys to call out for a chat. The lambs are super cute. The camels will want a selfie. Our emus will want to play. The goats will want food and attention. The deer will want a kiss. The cows will ask for scratches and tickles All the animals have been hand raised from babies and are super friendly. This farm stay is one of a kind and for all people who want to be in the surrounds of our large variety of our fury and feathered family. 🦙🦚🐪🐇🐤🦃🦘🦜🐓🫏🐷🦆🐄🫏🐏 Most of the animals have been orphaned and brought to Sandalwood Downs to be lovingly raised and nurtured. 🐾💕 Sandalwood Downs Farm Stay in Toodyay is now available for you to enjoy and experience as a tent camping, camper-van and caravan accommodation. Sandalwood Downs Toodyay operates as a farm stay and has been in high demand for several years now. After years of traveller's requesting caravan and tents sites, Marc and Jane are excited to announce as of March 2024 we now offering 11 caravan/camping/tent sites. With only 11 unpowered sites spread out over 100 acres, you are guaranteed privacy for you and your family and friends. 3 clean instant portable toilets. A refreshing cold bush shower is available on site. The farm also features a fantastic communal area for fellow traveller's to meet, chat, have a few drinks, sit by the amazing fire pit (during winter months), have a BBQ. The farm features many beautiful hand raised farm animals such as, camels, cows, miniature goats, donkeys, alpacas, lambs, deer, a pig, emus, ducks, turkeys, guinea fowls, geese, rabbits, chooks and peacocks. Spend some time strolling the stunning walk trails and taking in the amazing views on the property, The sunsets are vivid and beautiful. The stars shine and sparkle bright. Each site is cleared and levelled site’s available 3 sites accessible by 4WD only (Hill Top Double Tree, The break and The Ledge) SMALL CARAVANS ONLY, camper trailers and tents at these 3 sights. 6 sites accessible by 2WD and 4WD. Suitable for tents, camper trailers and caravans and pop tops. Most sites have chairs and tables, except sites 8, 9. 10 and 11. A communal BBQ is available for use in the fire pit area but must be cleaned after use PLEASE NOTE ANIMAL FEED, EDUCATION AND INTERACTION EXPERIENCE CAN BE PURCHASED AT $15 PP on the Hipcamp extras page. (Please note all children under 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult) Join Jane and Marc for an unforgettable animal encounter! Get up close and personal with our lovable farm friends. Tour Details: -Time: 9:30am or 1pm (variable times depending on animal needs) Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours Animal food included in ticket price -(Please note all children under 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult COMMUNAL FIRE PIT / YANNING CIRCLE ONLY TO BE USED IN WINTER MONTHS MAY-SEPTEMBER DEPENDING ON SHIRE AND DEFES REGULATION. Fire pit open between 4.30 till 8.30pm. NO INDIVIDUAL CAMP FIRES ALLOWED. Due to guest, animal and property safety. Guest breaking this rule will be asked to leave the property. The Julimar Forest is conveniently located just 2kms away. The fabulous township of Toodyay is only 8 minutes away. Sandalwood Downs Farm: -The property is 100 acres of beautiful tranquility. Perfect for a family getaway or a romantic couple experience. Not suitable for large noisy party groups. -The property is only 45 minutes from Midland and 7 minutes from the wonderful town of Toodyay. RULES AND GUILDELINES. While staying at Sandalwood Downs we would like all visitors to understand and accept the guidelines and rules, which are in place for everybody’s happiness, comfort and safety. YOUR FAMILIES SAFELY IS VERY IMPORTANT TO US: - No bikes sorry. As we are a farm we do not have bike trails or paths. The paddocks are uneven terrain with incline and decline and are not safe for riding. - No yelling or squealing in the communal / play ground area. This area is for everybody's enjoyment. If your children are yelling and squealing you will all be asked to leave the communal area. - Please supervise your children at ALL times, this is for their safety. Children are not allowed to roam free around the farm without adults. Please ensure your children do not yell, squeal or run whilst around the animals. -Children must be supervised in the communal playground area, The playground is closed for use at 6.pm. - No lighting of campfires. Local Shire and DEFES have very strong rules regarding this, and if lighting of a fire occurs people will be prosecuted by DEFES and the local Shire up to $36000.00 or 3 years imprisonment, -Fabulous communal fire pit open during winter months. No individual site camp fires due to safety of our property, animals and guests. -If you smoke please place your butts in a sealed fire proof container. Please do not leave them on the ground as it is a fire risk and our animals may eat them causing health issues. -No dogs permitted on the property due to our animals roaming free. -You must be totally self contained, own power and water, (3 clean portable toilet and refreshing cold bush shower are available for use in the communal area). -Please take away all rubbish. -No big party groups. -Quiet time from 7.30pm please. Please consider other guests and our neighbours. -Check out of campsite by 11 am please. -If a gate is closed, please close it behind you as will find it very hard to catch an animal that has escaped. - Please do not enter animal enclosures/ paddocks without Jane or Marc. -As we are a farm and you will be in our farm animals home, we ask you to please be kind and friendly towards all of our animals. -You approach all animals at your own risk -Please do not feed the animals any food that has not been given to you by Jane and Marc. -Please drive very slowly through paddocks 10km per hour as animals roam freely. -You will be handed a rules and guidelines policy when you arrive which includes an emergency and evacuation plan. Make sure you read and make yourself very aware of the guidelines, as your safety is very important to us. -Arrival during day light hours is a must please arrival by 6pm, for yours and our animals safety. The front gate will be locked at 6pm for security reasons and will not unlocked till morning. THESE RULES AND GUIDELINES HELP KEEP EVERYONE HAPPY AND SAFE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING ❤️🙏❤️

Enjoyed our stay here, camp sites were private and well set apart, great views and enjoyed the sound of nature from up the hill. The kids enjoyed the animals and was worth travelling for… Personally I prefer a campfire at my site during winter months to cook on (with self supplied briquettes/wood), especially as some of the sites are far away from the communal area. However, I also understand the risks that it carries to owners. Thank you for a great stay.

My son and I stayed in our tent at site 2 which is the closest site to the toilets, shower, playground and fire pit, perfect location. Jane and Marc were interesting to talk to and I found them really very friendly and welcoming. The playground closes for use at 6pm which makes sense for it was getting dark at that time. Some other kids were on the playground after that time and Jane had to come down and told them to get off. I don't understand why some parents can't tell their own kids to get off the playground at the correct time. It was hard for my 7 year old when I told him he had to be off the playground at 6pm and the other kids were still playing on it for another 20 minutes. We loved meeting all the animals in the animal feeding in the morning that Jane and Marc guided us on. The animals are very friendly and it was a wonderful experience. It was at 9.30am and cost $15 per person extra. Well worth every cent. The views of Sandalwood Downs Farm are stunning and I'm looking forward to staying there again sometime. Thanks Jane and Marc for letting us stay at your property and for being so nice.

A lovely quiet gem about 15mins from Toodyay. We had a relaxing time chilling amongst the trees surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. Our 3yr old and 6 year old absolutely loved the farm tour. Thank you Jane and Mark for having us

Such a wonderful experience with the family. The campsites are beautiful and private with friendly farm animals roaming around. We also did the tour which was really interesting and the kids lived it. Highly recommended for a family friendly campsite.
