A beautifully manicured parkland style retreat nestled within Peppermint, Paperbark, Tuart and banksia trees. The designated camp area is right on the edge of Yalgorup National Park. With pristine, untouched natural vegetation. Boasting a range of flora and fauna, the amazing bird life will keep you entertained for hours.

Welcome to The Black Stump! Situated on the north west corner at the rear of the property. Access is via the Northern firebreak. Boasting plenty of quiet space, beautiful dark skies and lovely bird life. Guests will need to be self contained, take waste with them and leave no trace. There is an open sea container available for use and a communal fire pit available for use during Shire of Waroona unrestricted burn times. Please refer to their website for up to date information.

Highly recommended. Have just finished my third stay. Enjoy the scenery, quiet and location. Great hosts and amenities, such as the fire pit table and container which you can use as a kitchen. Close enough to Perth for a quick getaway. Will be back again.

Excellent location with unmatched privacy. Especially loved walking along the firebreak to the view of the lake at the rear of the property. Thanks again for having us

Had an awesome time at black stump site. Very private, plenty of space to choose from for pitching a large tent. Having the container nearby was a plus as used that for the camp kitchen. You can easily set up chairs in there should it rain and there’s two square tables in there for your use. The site was peaceful and beautiful and the hosts wonderful and very helpful. Michael brought over a fire pit table for us to use and some wood to start our fires off with. Will definitely be returning!

The Black Stump
The Black Stump was a great place to stay. The paddock has quite a few spots to pitch a tent. There is a shipping container with tables and chairs that can be used as a make shift kitchen. Overall, our stay was relaxed and the host was lovely. It's close to a short bush walk at the lime kiln, and not too far away from the thrombolites. Would recommend.

Beautiful secluded spot with plenty of flat grassed area and trees, and a little gazebo and very accommodating hosts. ☺️ Nice walk out to the lake. My dog loved poking around the trails. An easy drive from Perth. Just bring some mossie repellant if you go in summer.

Close to Perth, just an hour and a half from our house so great place to go for a weekend. Vineyard 28 close by for a wine tasting and Charcuterie.

An extremely friendly and welcoming greeting by Michael made us feel comfortable immediately. He pointed out everything about the site, area and more! Plenty of level spots between the trees to choose from all with privacy and quiet. The night time star watching was excellent along with the rabbits hopping around. A great little spot for us and our dog to relax. Thanks guys, I’m sure we will be back..👍

We were very lucky to be able to camp at Black Stump. It was a beautiful spot and very private. There was a lot of things for the children to do.
