We had a pleasant 2 night stay however we would avoid going in windy and wet weather as it’s pretty intense. The facilities were ageing but clean with hot water and good pressure. Unfortunately we were unable to do the tour due to weather and illness but enjoyed feeding the animals and short walks and peace of property when it wasn’t raining. If heading from Perth go to Pinnicles National park first as you may not be able to do tour.

The amenities are clean, and kitchen has drinking water supplies in 5L bottles. The Painted Desert tour is a must do! Call them direct to book. Starts at 730am.
There is a communal firepit next to the camp kitchen.
if you want your own fire, make sure you don't camp in the hay bale camping lots; and bring your own fire pit, as no open fire allowed on the ground.

Nambung Station is a beautiful and quiet location, not far from the Pinnacles. The staff at the station were very friendly. The campsites were generous in size and having the opportunity to hand feed the animals there was definitely a highlight. Great for everyone ranging from couples to families. I would strongly recommend this location for your next camp 🙂

Lovely stay at Nambung - hosts were great, such a nice spot for a chill weekend with the kids. Nice to wander round and explore the station seeing the animals.

Nambung Unpowered Campsite
The owners were extremely friendly, helpful and amazing hosts. We booked an unpowered pitch as there were no power pitches left, but when we arrived, they managed to provide us with power by running a cable from another point.
The feeding time for the animals is great and the kids enjoyed it. Facilities were clean and tidy and the communal fire pit was great.
All in all, we will be returning again.

We’re really grateful for the last-minute accommodation—thank you for making it happen! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, well-maintained, and had all the necessary amenities, which made our time there very comfortable.
A special highlight was the morning tour to the sand dunes and the Pinnacles. It was an incredible experience, and John did a fantastic job providing all the information and insights, making the tour both fun and informative.

Sarah and the team were extremely welcoming and explained all we needed to know. Site is beautiful, wild annals that you can see the feedings of. Very clean campsite, toilets and showers included in your stay which is a huge bonus. Shared kitchen facilities and a beautiful outdoor area to eat, they also light a fire every night in the fire pit near the kitchen.
We’ll definitely be back and I recommend staying a couple of nights.
We parked up at a powered site and forgot a cable, which they happily supplied one for us to borrow for the night. A good mix of tent campers, campervans and they also have chalets for hire.

We tent camped for 2 nights behind the hay bales (great windbreak) and were comfortable. Was nice to have a hot shower and use the camp kitchen. Hosts were friendly, the bush poet had us in stitches - and you really MUST do the onsite Painted-Desert Tour!!

The hosts were very welcoming and very visible during our stay. The showers and toilets were kept very clean, certainly appreciated the hot showers. It was a lovely quiet location and good access about 35 mins away from Cervantes and an additional 30 mins to The Pinnacles, which is one of the reasons we chose to stay here. Access currently is only via 2 unsealed roads, in very good condition. We did not do the farm tour out to the painted dessert as $50 each we felt was a bit too expensive. If you are on a time frame 2 nights would be a good length of time to stay. Over all it compared well to other HipCamps we have stayed at.

We stayed 3 nights at the station it was very peaceful. Sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. There also is an abundance of local wildlife. The amenities are adequate and each night at five they light a fire at the camp kitchen. Sites are level and more sandy than grass. Water pressure was good, just give it a minute! It's bore water but was very clean and no smell. Flies weren't an issue. A little windy (think it always is) but plenty of tree shade if you didn't want awning out.
The road in has been graded and i think they are in the process of tarmacing the road in to the local mine site.
We did the painted desert tour with James which i highly recommend. We took some great photos of the moving sands and emerging pinnacles.

Very friendly hosts and excellent facilities made this a good choice for an adventure with our daughter and grandchildren. The space between the caravans was good and the sites easily accessible. The dirt road into the station proved to be very good.

Highly recommend staying at Nambung Station! The kids loved it – and they loved feeding the animals. It has all the facilities you need – toilets, warm showers and the camp kitchen. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Definitely do the tour as well – you have the dessert pinnacles all to yourself.

Had a lovely stay at Nambung. It was quite windy when we stayed so take this into account if you are roof top camping and stay inside the protected areas created for tent camping. The kids had a wonderful time exploring the farm and feeding the animals. It is a wonderful place to take people who want to experience the vastness of the WA bush and see an outback sun rise. Easy access to Cervantes and the Pinnacles. Facilities are amazing. Excellent, clean, useful camp kitchen. We visited during a fire ban for campers but the station managed a lovely fire pit for guest to gather, toast marshmallows and chat.
Thank you to the Nambung staff for being so kind and accommodating. One guest requested a dawn service for ANZAC day, which was hosted by a member of staff who recited a poem to mark the occasion.
