Continuously flowing, ‘the Drakesbrook’ is a small river running through our family farm in Waroona. We are an artisan creator of quality table wines, specialising in alternate and emerging varieties. Come and visit! We welcome visitors to park their van or pitch a tent in a cleared area surrounded by bush-land, less than 200 meters from our lakeside picnic area and cellar door. We have BBQ facilities available that are free to use if purchasing wine or a nominal fee if not. Swimming is not permitted in our dam but there are two large freshwater lakes nearby where swimming is permitted. Smoking is not permitted anywhere near licensed area. There are plenty of walking trails and bike tracks in the locality to explore, they also run adjacent to a large freshwater ski lake. Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste/rubbish with them on departure. Coffee and snacks are available in cellar door along with cheese platters and Ploughmans lunches on pre order.

Peaceful Oasis
Site 2 was huge and easy to set up on after chatting to Bernard for clear instructions on where to camp. We were surrounded by trees which had amazing bird life drifting through. There's a short walk to the dam and cellar door and having wine and a cheese platter on the deck is a perfect way to relax and enjoy the views. It's a great place to unwind. It was very dry when we were there and would be good to go back in winter.

Site 2, Redtail Cockatoo
Good base camp
It was a bit of a nothing spot but was near enough to Lane Poole Reserve, Waroona, Pinjarra etc so good base site. Lovely sunsets through the forest. The other sites would have given more access to sunlight for our solar as the trees impeded it a bit.

Site 3, Lakeview
Drakesbrook winery site 3.
I would recommend site 3 for the views and especially the sunsets, however due to the undulating ground it is a challenge to achieve a level positioning for ones caravan. Make sure you have plenty of levelling blocks available.

Site 1, Kangaroo Creek
Isolated camping at its best
This is a wonderful site from which you can explore the region... whilst sampling some of Bernie's wines. Lane Poole Reserve is a great place for a swim or bush walk. Wanneroo has a dump point and water available. So if isolated camping is your desire, then Site 1 is the best!
