Pear Tree Camp
This is a lovely property and Zoe was extremely polite and welcoming as our host.
The owners have 6 or so dogs looking after their chickens which, whilst adorable during the day, made for a very unsettling stay as they continued barking late into the night. Realise some folks won’t be bothered by this but it’s good to be aware of it when planing your holiday.
Also, there appears to be some dynamic between the property owners and their neighbour who came across, when we first arrived and before the owners got home, and vented some frustrations. This didn’t impact us and we bid him farewell but it’s not an interaction you want to get involved with as a family on holiday.

Allington Family Farm Camping
We absolutely loved camping at the farm. So may animals to visit including several friendly dogs who often come and say hi. They spent a lot of time on the rope swing too. Zoe and Travis are super friendly and the lamb chops are divine. Unfortunately our schedules and weather didn't permit the farm tour which was a shame. The camp sites are close-ish together ie/ you can see one another but it was very quiet. A happy trade off to be so close to the animals. If you are a light sleeper, pack your earplugs because the roosters/dogs/sheep are very vocal during the early morning.
Great experience for all ages, definitely worth a visit!

We loved being immersed on a working farm, with the farm animals and all the farm sounds. Our site was flat and we looked out at the entertaining pigs in their paddock....and at the piglets that were roaming around freely all over the farm. Zoe was friendly but they left for the weekend to be in Perth. We were left in the capable hands of Zoe's mum and dad who were also very friendly. It was interesting to see their very friendly maremma dogs protecting all the free range chickens. The farm was handy to Greenbushes and Bridgetown. We rode our bikes from the farm to Greenbushes and found the 'New Zealand Valley Trail' which was well worth doing through lovely bushland. We also did the historic trail through the town reading all the plaques and learning about the town's interesting past. The mine lookout is mind blowing and well worth a visit. The big tyre is good for a photo prop.

Allington Family Farm Camping
We really enjoyed Allington Farm, a nice secluded stay away from the city where we could enjoy some peace, beautiful views, and starry night skies. Our spot at the pear tree was perfect, we had the sheep and cows visiting every day. Kids enjoyed walking around and seeing the farm animals.
Nice location close to Greenbushes pool which was beautiful, Bridgetown & Donnybrook

We loved our stay at the Watering Hole site although next time hope to stay at the Pear Tree which was a cute spot. Loads of space between campsites means the farm animals are all you hear. Travis andZoe are wonderful hosts and have admirable goals in mind for their farm which they have owned for a year (and achieved so much!). The add ons of a cooked dinner (really delicious!), eggs and farm tour were well worth it. If we’d been more organised we certainly would have purchased some of their meat on our way home. Our 2 yo loved the opportunity to get up and close to so many animals. Feeding the cows on the farm tour was a highlight. Also headed to Greens Pool for a swim which was great. Thanks for a great stay T and Z, we will be back!

Beautiful views from Flooded Gums.
Loved watching the animals come up every day and was lucky enough to see a baby lamb.
Great base to explore the area.
Make sure you get some add ones from the delicious farm produce.
Friendly hosts who are there to help but will let you explore at your leisure.

Thankyou to Zoe and Travis for letting us stay on your property, you were amazing hosts and the kids loved chasing the chickens and watching the animals. Your property is so vast with loads of space. We accepted the challenge and learnt some needed skills about levelling our van under the eucalyptus tree but the views and scenery well well worth it. We'd definitely stay again.

Large property with very spaced out campsites. Highlands cows, chickens, sheep, horses & dogs on the property. Highly recommended the lamb and eggs - we scored a double yolker!
Our personal fave campsites are the pear tree and harvey.

Allington Family Farm Camping
We had a fantastic 3 night stay at the farm. Zoe, Trav and their kids were all so lovely and made us feel really welcome. We got to wander round ourselves but we also did a farm tour where found out a lot of interesting info about the animals and saw the areas of the property not accessible by walking. The kids loved seeing and feeding the animals.
You are surrounded by lots of beautiful scenery and of peace and quiet (although there can be a bunch of farm animal noises at night with the guard dogs and roosters etc). All part of the experience of staying on a farm though. We bought some of their pasture raised meat and eggs which were absolutely delicious!
The sites were all labeled and communication with the hosts was great. Just note there is no phone reception (even with Telstra) but only a couple of min drive towards the main road to get some service though.
In the summer months I highly recommend going for a swim at the nearby Greenbushes swimming hole.
We totally enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Lovely and peaceful, we were the only ones there. Wonderful hosts, delicious golden yolk eggs from their own chooks. Nice farm to have a walk around and see the animals.

Cant recommend Allington family farm enough! Easily one of our favourite Hipcamps to date. If the beautiful backdrop of the North Greenbushes property wasn’t enough, Zoe and Travis were fantastic hosts! This sweet family goes above and beyond.
Would recommend purchasing some of the add ons too - we bought dinner and were treated to the best lamb curry, with some scones provided for desert! Their bacon is the best we’ve ever had (no joke!) Farm tour was also fantastic and so informative to life on the farm.
Communication was spot on, and site was per description. Peaceful and fun. Planning to be back here soon!

Great location with very friendly camp hosts. Spacious camp grounds and we were the only lucky campers for the weekend.
Quiet area and plenty of farm animals nearby including some highland Coo’s. Local produce from the farm on hand. We bought some incredible meat from the farm and it was to die for. If you stay there make sure you grab some and try for your self.
If you have a high camper or van, just be aware of the low trees on the track in. Also, levelling the van on the side of a hill was a little challenging but very doable.
I would definitely recommend this camp ground and Travis and Zoe are very hospitable.

Me and my partner had a fantastic stay at the farm. Highly reccomodend doing the farm tour and meeting the family as they were all lovely! The camp site was cute yet still spacious enough to set up everything. Will definatley return

Beautiful scenery in a quiet location ( if you don’t mind roosters :) ) We stayed in Harvey’s spot which had room to accomodate a number of campers if you needed.
Zoe and Travis were fabulous hosts coming to say hi and making us feel welcome. Make sure you get some eggs to cook for breakfast they are to die for.
We will be coming back again for sure.

What a gorgeous place to stay. It is peaceful, beautiful and a working farm. The host and family are very accommodating, and just the loveliest people. The animals are so much fun for the kids. Make sure you pick up some eggs, they were perfect for breaky over looking the hills and sheep. Looking forward to returning soon.
