Loved camping here!
My friend and I camped at West Beach Resort and during the trip planning process we booked this place because no other campsites were available around the island. It was our last option, plan C. However, we were blown away with how awesome this spot was! We had a campsite on the grass which made for such a comfy night sleep! While this resort feels more like a summer camp than a rugged campground, we really appreciated it for the best sunset view on the island, a peaceful, large beach for SUPing, and we loved the peaceful evenings at the dock. The snack bar served food, snacks, and wine that you could just charge to your sure so it made it so simple and fun! I felt like I was at a beach club in Hawaii. Loved the communal bonfires, too. I highly recommend and will be back! Thank you 🙏🏼

I want to go back!
Lovely place - great area to camp, bathrooms clean and available, and beach access walking distance. Loved having the little shop close by for ice cream and snacks if needed.

What a cool spot to camp! Very friendly store, super cute, fun volleyball court. Definitely busy so if you want to be alone, perhaps not, but it was very quiet at night.

Heaven on earth
I absolutely LOVED my stay. I was at campsite 51A (tent). Perfect distance to beach, big area, good mix of shade and sunshine.
Bathrooms were very very clean. I could not recommend this campsite enough.

Relaxing at West Beach Resort
We absolutely LOVED our stay at West Beach. The entire staff was incredibly helpful, attentive and well informed. We had our trailer and enjoyed our RV site. Super clean bathroom and spacious showers. The best part was the location. Wow! The pier out to the Sound is spectacular with wonderful views. Espresso in the mornings by the water was our daily routine followed up later after a day of hiking by a beer at happy hour down by the pier. Thank you for a very relaxing week!!

Girls trip to MTB
Got there a little late but the emails made the spot really easy to find. It wasn’t crowded at all and the other campers were really helpful as well as respectful. There was plenty of room to park and plenty of room for you to spread out. The grounds are beautiful and so close to the water. We watched the sunset and went for a walk on the beach which was less than a few minutes walk. There’s also a small little general store and you can buy ice, wood, and some provisions to include ice cream. The gal helping us when we checked in was so sweet and allowed us to add to our reservation when we got there. It’s unfortunate you can’t see the sites you’re booking because they have some really nice ones that were available but we just didn’t know what the layout was like. I’d love to go back and stay longer.

We had a great time- I'm already trying to figure out when we can come back again! As promised, the sunsets were phenomenal and the staff was friendly. All COVID-19 precautions were taken, so I felt completely safe these, even with my young children.

Site 5 - RV site - power and water
We had a great stay. The staff is helpful and nice. The grounds are beautiful and well kept up. Bathrooms were sparkling. We stayed during a rain and wind storm, so it was a bit muddy, but not so much that we had any difficulties getting out VW van out of the site.

Great views, but crowded
The West Beach Resort is amazing, though not quite as private as it makes it seem. Check out the website first.

Beautiful in offseason
The Resort is absolutely beautiful and caters to all types of adventurers- cabins, glamping in yurts, RV sites with hookups, then the basic camping that I choose. My 2 negative thoughts that prompted this review are:
1. I am SO glad that the Resort was empty because the RV sites with hookups & tent camping, could not be more closely packed in. I wouldn't have been pleased being squished in so tightly and definitely not for the price, which is point 2
2. The basic camping site was a little overpriced at $47 per day BUT it became extremely pricey with how much extra fees are hidden in there. They did disclose each dog costs an additional $4 each day but it seems unnecessary when check out is 11am and it's mainly as a form of additional income when camping. They also charge $7 a day per guest that exceeds 3 on the campsite- most people do not camp in 3's so that was another way to get extra money. Lastly, each vehicle also cost $7 per day. Camping in the grass ended up being a $180 stay for Friday afternoon-Sunday 11am.
