This was our 3rd trip to Ian's place. Second time in the cabin. Even though it was sooooo cold Saturday night and Sunday morning, we still had a freaking blast! Like always, Ian was amazing. We requested more firewood to stay warm and he stopped what he was doing to cut some and bring it back to us. We enjoyed seeing and holding the birds. He has lots and lots of chickens right now! Somehow we managed to fit 3 people and 3 dogs in the cabin and stayed warm. I can't recommend this place enough! We have yet to find a place we like quite this much. Can't wait to come back!

My wife and I had a absolutely wonderful time staying at the Stargazer Cabin. Ian was very attentive and has truly thought of everything when he built this cabin. We had no problems with the solar power even though it was cloudy and we were nice and warm all night thanks to the diesel heater. The kitchen was fully equipped with any cookware you would need and we also did a little cooking over the fire pit as well. We definitely plan on coming back with some friends. Thanks for a great time, Ian!

This was such a nice experience. We ended up booking on a very cold night and Ian went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. The guinea hens, chickens, and turkeys were fun to see and learn about as well. Very close to the beach which was quiet and beautiful on a cold December morning!

Cozy cabin perfect for an outdoor getaway without completely roughing it. Cabin has running water and solar powered electricity. There is a composting toilet and propane heated, outdoor shower next to the cabin. Fire pit and picnic table also adjacent to the cabin. Plenty of room for dogs to roam and explore. Walking distance to two quiet beaches (dogs allowed off leash). Stores within a 10 minute drive. I stayed in low 40s/high 30s temps and it was quite pleasant. The privacy and solitude were lovely, without being in the boonies. The host, Ian, is on site and extremely accommodating, communicative and flexible, which made for a wonderful stay! Will definitely be back and highly recommend this place!

Ian was absolutely amazing with communication! He replied quickly and thoroughly explained or answered questions. He let us pick from his garden. The Trilogy site was smaller than I expected, but we still fit two 6 person tents inside. There as enough parking for at least 4 cars. (Ian did tell us we could use the open land beside our site.) The only bummer was the bikes were either broken or had flat tires. And the picnic screen house had a lot of rips. The port-o-potty was about 100 yards away. We used a Lowe’s bucket in the shower for the ladies to go to the bathroom during the night.
