Lovely little farm
We so enjoyed our stay on Shannon’s property! She was very welcoming and accommodating of our last-minute booking. The views are beautiful and we loved watching the cows and chickens. We’ll definitely be back!

Ready To Roll Campsite!
Beautiful campsite and such a welcoming, wonderful host. We had an awesome night at the site and slept very well in the tent. Sunrise was beautiful. Shannon responded to all of our questions very promptly. Only thing I would flag as a heads up is that there isn’t a grate on top of the fire ring, so I would plan accordingly if you want to cook over the fire.

Absolutely adore this place. Have booked here several times and always a pleasure. Everyone was so helpful with locating the spot. Exploring the woods was great, my daughter loved watching the baby cows, and the dogs couldn't get enough of the large fields

Shannon was very sweet and accommodating. We were coming from the Renaissance Festival that was 1 1/2hr away. She let us come as late as 10pm so we could enjoy the festival without feeling rushed. In the morning we were greeted by some curious cows. Our location wasn’t too far from the street so we heard cars drive by but we all sleep well still. It was a great place to stop for the night before heading home.

Ready To Roll Campsite!
Farm camping beats glamping any day
We had a lovely autumn weekend on Shannon’s farm! Shannon is maybe the cheeriest person we’ve ever met, and she was quick to accommodate us when we ran late with our arrival. Our friends are big fans of chickens, and she made sure we had plenty of time to spend with them (the cows were cute too!). The views from the campsite are excellent, and we enjoyed playing volleyball and badminton with the net Shannon provided. We’d definitely do it again!

What a beautiful campsite, tucked back in the trees on the edge of rolling farm fields. The tent and cots already set up were a great touch, and very comfortable. Shannon was a wonderful host, very friendly and helpful to me and my friends during our visit. Would love to visit again.

My girlfriend, her dog and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Abundance Farm. Though we had trouble finding it initially, Shannon was accessible and helpful. She’s incredibly sweet, and even gave us complimentary, freshly-made freeze-dried candy.

They were lovely. Amazing view! Super quiet and peaceful. Respectful and helpful folks there to guide us in even though it was late at night. Our kids felt safe and welcome to explore. We would certainly stop by again if we were ever close by!

In all honesty, when we arrived the facilities were not quite what we expected. Shannon is the sweetest lady you will ever meet. She greets you and makes sure that you have everything you need. Our set-up was on a grassy area with beautiful views of the fields. We had excellent weather with a nice breeze. We extended our stay by 4 days because of the location, peaceful atmosphere, fresh-eggs for breakfast, a sense of safety, the beauty, and Shannon. She is trying to improve her home and business.
Our dogs loved the location as well and to watch the cow heard in an adjacent field. Thank you Shannon for a wonderful rural Virginia experience!

Ready To Roll Campsite!
Shannon’s Ready to Roll campsite was the perfect was to introduce camping to our toddler.
When we got to the farm we were greeted by chickens! Shannon showed us around the chicken coops where we got to feed chickens by hand, pick our own eggs, and pet some chicks. Such a neat experience! There are also some cows in the distance. Next time we hope they come up to us.
To get to the campsite, Shannon takes you around the farm in her pick up. Naturally we rode in the pick up bed for extra fun!
The campsite was beautiful and clean. Surrounded by woods on three sides and over looked the fields of the farm. There was a sturdy fire pit, a picnic table that turns into benches (so cool!), a nicely set up compost toilet in a separate tent, and the yurt we slept on was huge! Plenty of room with a table and wood stove inside.
Shannon is a kind spirit and was such a joy to meet! She’s so helpful, knowledgeable, and was happy to show us so many things on her farm.
We had a blast and will definitely be coming back!

This was such a perfect campsite for beginners. Loved that it wasn't a far getaway for us and plus we didn't have to set up the tent! Shannon was more than hospitable and her land has a charm and beauty you must see for yourself!

Camp Kickback
We had the best time camping for one night at Abundance Farm! Shannon was extremely communicative, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed to have a great time. We were with some beginers and the site was a perfect entry into camping for newbies. Best parts? Meeting the herd of calves right by our campsite, the lightning bugs at night, tailgate ride to the site, and collecting our own eggs to cook with for breakfast over the fire. Would undoubtedly visit again!

We had a great weekend dry camping at the Abundance Farm Hipcamp. Our host was friendly and most accommodating. The farm provided all the basic nessacities to make our stay Enjoyable. Would stay there again.

It is a pretty area but you're very close to a busy road (approx 100-200') if you're camping in the RV area (the tent sites are far enough off the road that this isn't bad). The road noise was enough to be bothersome but we still had a good time hanging out with our friends. If the RV sites were further out like the tent sites, it would have been much more enjoyable.
Ticks are out in force! I don't know if this is common or they're just abundant at the moment but we all found multiple ticks on ourselves and the dogs.

Ready To Roll Campsite!
This was a great and convenient getaway from DC! Shannon is an amazing host, super communicative and went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. The farm animals are fun and nothing beats freshly laid eggs. The campsite itself is decked out - exactly what was listed and perfect for folks who don't have a lot of their own gear. Bonus that our site was pretty shaded for the majority of the day, which we were thankful for given the summer heat. Overall, highly recommended and would love to come back soon, if only for Shannon alone!

This camp was great. My son and I took a long weekend to get outside. Shannon was very welcoming and accommodating and the site was clean and well appointed. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away from the DMV.
