Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.
Wongaburra is a 618 acre private property backing directly onto the Grampians National Park in the Western Districts of Victoria. It is primarily used as a horsemanship education centre. Two thirds of the property are under conservation covenant and it is also used as a wildlife release point. Facilities include 2 showers and 2 toilets and washing up area. 2 BNB accommodations are also available at Airbnb and Riparide. 'Horse Experience' available by appointment.

Wongaburra campsite #1

RV/tent site · Sleeps 2 · Vehicles under 11 m
All 4 of our campsites are in the open area at the front of our property, a short walk to the toilet/shower amenities. Our campsite area is large, approx 5 acres, surrounded by established sheltering trees. We only take a maximum of 4 campers at one time, but also have 2 bnb accomodations closer to the main house. The property has walking trails and we are always around to send you to the best hiking trails in the Grampians NP which our 618 acre property backs onto. *Campfires are only allowed in designated firepits and only between June and the end of October.

Site #2 is in an open area at the front of our property, walking distance to the amenities block which is shared by all campers. There are 2 instant gas hot water showers and 2 toilets plus an undercover washing up area with hot/cold water, mirrors and electrical outlets for shaving/hairdryers/recharging etc. We only have 4 campsites so there is always plenty of space and no crowds! Close to Grampians NP (property backs onto the western mountain range but walking tracks off property need to be driven to) 618 private acres to roam from the campsite.

Christine and her partner were wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed camping there and look forward to returning. The toilet, shower and washing facilities were very good and handy!

We had a wonderful time at the Wongaburra Horsemanship Centre. The location is easily accessible, very peaceful and the hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. All the facilities worked perfectly and there was plenty of wildlife around for us to soak up while we camped. Will definitely be back.

This was an altogether beautiful camping experience. Our hosts Chris & Justin were fantastic, friendly, helpful, happy & very welcoming. we dont have anything to do with horses so found this property quite interesting. loved the place and other campers there. looking forward to returning soon.

Wongaburra Horse Farm Campsite
Beautiful! We spent 3 nights with 3 families and young children and it was perfect! Chris was so very welcoming, the woolshed was equipped with everything, heaps of space to set up tents. If you like a peaceful retreat into nature, this one's for you. Loved the fire pits and thx for the firewood!
