Had the most serendipitous weekend at Anne-mare’s campsite, it exceeded already very high expectations.
The creek is stunning, and so fun for swimming, paddling floating, jumping off the rocks and (attempted) fishing.
The landscape is so beautiful, plenty of space for camping and so much to explore.
We also booked the cabin which was beautiful and the jacuzzi looking out on to the fields was such a delight!!
Anne-maree met us at the gate and was super lovely and comprehensive showing us around and being available if we needed.
Would 100% go back here!!

Thanks Anne Marie for hosting us at your beautiful secluded site and just an hour from Melbourne. We adored swimming and watching the sunset over the valley, just wow. This was my second visit and will not be my last, thanks again!

Loved staying at the farm house. Anne-Maree and her husband were very helpful through our trip.
The view to the cattle was beautiful, sunsets every evening - brilliant!
Worth noting the spa didn't get as hot as we would have liked as there was no cover. The max temperature we could get it to was 35 degrees which is not that warm - but still beautiful.
Loved how self sufficient the cabin was too!

The cabin for 2 is lovely, small and with a nice kitchen and bathroom. Host's were very considerate and responsive.

Cabin was cosy with plenty of space for a tent nearby. Enjoyed the sunsets, spa and fireplace. Anne-Maree was a fantastic host!

What a great spot near Melbourne. It was peaceful, private and gorgeous to sit around and relax. Will definitely be back. The swimming hole was big enough for our group. The track down is maintained and nobody had a problem getting back up. The Hawks and planes had us occupied. Annemarie was lovely. Thanks for sharing your property with us.

Great little cabin;) we enjoyed our time. The kids loved hanging out in the spa and playing games in the garden. Beautiful scenery and lots of space for walking and playing. Horses are super friendly and loved getting fed grass by the kids! The hosts are helpful and friendly and even provided us with the most delicious eggs despite their chickens been a bit slow in laying.

Camping at Weemalah was a great time for all of us. In total we were 13 adults that spent 2 nights at the farm over NYE. The riverside spot had enough space for our tents, vehicles, gazebos, and other equipment. We had good luck with dry weather but parked the sedans at the gate (~500m away) and used mid-sized SUVs to transport our gear.
The hosts Anne-Maree and Randall were extremely gracious and even kept us stocked up on firewood throughout our stay. The campsite is isolated from anyone else and allows for long walks around the property. The river was my highlight - it flows at the perfect speed to be a safe, clean, and refreshing escape from the heat!

Staying at Weemalah was such a lovely way to unplug and escape from the rat race. Anne Maree's land is peaceful and picturesque. The cottage had ample facilities, and the outdoor spa and bath were a perfect way to unwind and enjoy some beautiful sunsets.

The spot is very lovely. Unfortunately during our stay the neighbour decided to build a long fence on the other side of the waterhole, 30 metres from us. The construction noise ran from morning to night with a tractor, an escavator that beeped constantly in reverse, a chainsaw, and a machine that thumped large metal rods into the ground. A neighbour also had a dog outside that barked angrily late into the night. The spot is very lovely, but unfortunately the experience was dampened by the noisy neighbours who were in close proximity to us during our stay. We didn't have privacy while they were there and I got a headache from the noise. It might be worth asking the owner if the neighbour has plans during your stay. We also didn't explore as we weren't sure we'd be crossing onto the neighbours property.
-Pros-
• Native birdlife.
• Our dogs loved it.
• It's quiet and secluded when the neighbours aren't nearby.
• The waterhole is lovely and handy for water to put the fire out etc.
• The owner is kind and responsive, she also provided firewood that was a huge help!
-Cons/tips-
• Ask the owner for instructions before you arrive, with photo references if possible. This would have made our arrival a lot smoother.
• There's a large hole in the grass near the campsite camoflauged in long grass. I drove into it and broke my car fender.
• The area is open to the sun, there's no trees to tie rope onto.
• The site is under a flight path with the occasional jet but this didn't bother us.

Loved our stay. The cabin is snug but beautifully and thoughtfully appointed. A large step up from a Caravan! You will be warm and ready for all the local autumn activities. You can walk around the Cabin to a glorious view and jacuzzi. The walk through the paddocks to the waterhole is sublime and takes about a 30-40 min round journey. Or longer if you dawdle like we did. Your hosts are fantastic and responsive. I’m very happy they have kindly opened up their slice of paradise to visitors.

We had a lovely stay with Anne Marie. Cosy cabin for our family of 3 with everything we needed. Awesome swimming hole on the property. Our 10 year old loved time with the donkeys, horses and dogs; we all did. Thanks for the horse ride, quad bike ride and fresh eggs. A great get away 1 hr from the city. I wish we could say there was absolutely nothing to improve on, however there were some things that made our stay less enjoyable than we hoped for.
No tv reception, and the small selection of dvds they had were missing quite a few dvds out of the cases.
Curtains barely blocked out the daylight, which made it very difficult to put our 1 year to sleep (especially in the middle of summer when the sun doesn't set until 8.30, and rises at 6.30am)
Unclear directions to the swimming hole, you need to ask the hosts how to get there.
Outdoor bath and bbq were filthy, which put us off using either of them.
When it came to the bedding, our bottom sheet had a large rip in it, and we were provided 3 pillows between 2 people, which I found a bit strange. I really don't like to pick at things, but these are all just some small things that would make a world of difference.
Positives were having a big king size bed, which was excellent for two adults and baby snuggles! Massive property, with beautiful horses visible from every window. Private spa with stunning sunset views, and just 10mins drive from local shops.
Fresh eggs readily available for purchase too, very yummy!
Another positive was being able to have our dog there, she absolutely loved walking around on her extra long leash.
I hope this is a helpful review for anybody considering to stay here ♡

An open space with plenty of land to explore and for our dog to run around. 4wd is a must!! Extremely difficult to get out if the weather turns and it rains! It’s such a fantastic spot!!

Beautiful cottage stay. Sunsets were amazing from around the outside fire. Spa bath was relaxing with great views. We also took a great 6.5km walk around the property. And Ann-Marees eggs were yummy. A great way to spend our 36th anniversary!!

We had a lovely weekend in the cabin. The cool wind on the first night prevented us from wanting to use the jacuzzi but the second day was perfect. The views from the garden across the land were fabulous. The sunsets were beautiful. The garden area could benefit from a bit of TLC as was a bit rugged and the sun loungers had seen better days. We didn’t use the bbq due to the fire ban but the set up looked good. Inside, the cabin was clean, tidy, cosy and very comfortable. After asking Randall how to get to the creek, we took our 4x4 down and had a cracking few hours down there to ourselves. Very peaceful and the dog loved it!

Beautiful area and location and the cabin and spa are amazing. Unfortunately owners let their two large dogs run freely, owners kept driving/walking past because they live super close so there’s no privacy and the “swimming hole” that is advertised is no where near the cabin. We thought we’d take a “stroll” down to the swimming hole, it’s 1hrs walk away with kids and is less than “worth it”. We weren’t prepared and luckily had one of our friends back at the cabin who could drive food and water down to us (only accessible with a 4WD) and then take a couple of the dads back to grab more 4WDs to take the kids home. Other than the spa, there’s not much else to do.

Great spot to relax in the cabin / spa or outdoor bath or go exploring on the property. We went down to some of their river frontage for the day and enjoyed some fishing and swimming. It really is a lovely property with helpful owners. Will be back again.

My partner and I had the best weekend at the cabin! It was clean and cozy, we felt right at home with everything we could have needed. We were greeted by their two friendly dogs who roam the property and Anne Maree shortly after we arrived and enjoyed some fresh eggs. The hot tub was perfection, which we enjoyed all weekend, it was so nice waking up with views of the horses from the kitchen. Thanks again, Anne Maree, we will definitely be back!

My partner and I had an amazing weekend retreat and it was exactly what we were after. The hot tub out the back was perfect even in the cold wind. The hosts are extremely welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond during our stay (even made us dinner for the first night as we arrived late!)

We absolutely loved our stay at Weemalah Cabin! My partner and I spent the weekend on the farm in the cabin and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing weekend or week away. It’s a short 1 hour drive from Melbourne and has everything you need on the property - from fresh eggs available to purchase to warm and friendly hosts (Anne Maree and Randal) who are there to help you with anything you need including local restaurant and winery recommendations. It has an awesome spa and BBQ as well and the walks around the farm are stunning.
