OTHER THINGS TO NOTE. Located in the Victorian Central Highlands, Newbury offers an authentic country Victoria experience. The climate can be cooler and wetter than Melbourne, so pack accordingly. As part of this immersive nature escape, occasional encounters with insects or animals are possible. If you plan to explore the bush, prepare with essentials like water and sun protection. Always let someone know your plans, especially if traveling solo—we're happy to be your point of contact for safety. Before booking, kindly review the entire listing to ensure the bushland surroundings and our eco-focused accommodations align with your expectations.
YOUR HOSTS We are Erin and Kelly . We have been building/caretakers of the Wombat Forest since 2015. Our aim is to provide a magical getaway for people wanting to escape the city and who respect and love Victoria’s natural world as much as we do.
