Welcome to Somerville Park, a 500 acre sheep farm at Fosterville. There are a variety of beautiful campsites suitable for self-contained guests who have their own toilet/shower facilities and drinking water. There is also a toilet in a central location on the property available for the convenience of all campers. Fires are permitted out of fire restriction times and feel free to bring your furry friends, making sure they're leashed at all times. The farm is completely surrounded by the Wellsford state forest which offers bush walking and many tracks for bike riding. Mt Sugarloaf which is situated south of the property provides a great hike. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets create beautiful reflections on the water in the numerous dams on the property. Rainfall can restrict access to sites on the property. The city of Bendigo is 25mins drive. Epsom is a 15min drive where you will find a shopping centre which includes a petrol station, Woollies, Pizza, Chemist Warehouse, Aldi, Brumbys Bakery, Reject Shop, Fish and Chips and BWS. Lake Eppalock is a 25min drive where you can engage in water sport activities. The Campaspe River is 10mins away. The farm is very quiet and restful with the sounds of abundant native bird life and provides great subjects and scenery for the photographic enthusiast.

Sunrise Ridge
The driveway in takes 25min to traverse before you make it to camp. I wouldn't recommend any caravan longer than 17ft as there is a very sharp 90dg bend after the last creek crossing, where we had to ride on the edge of the concrete bridge to make the turn. We messaged Mike (the owner seems like a nice bloke) to double check we'd fit due to our length and the rain they'd recently had, who said there wouldn't be an issue. Mike met us on arrival, pointed us in the direction of the cattle yards which was mowed so we agreed we'd stay there. Ended up getting bogged the second we went off the track to camp at the cattle yards, spent the next 10hrs digging ourselves out, twice. If it's wet forget it!

Top Dam
Beautiful views & secluded
Top Dam was beautiful! Secluded and a great place to camp. We camped only overnight but still it was such a great experience. In the morning we saw kangaroos and lots of other wildlife about. Would go again for longer.

Caring & Understanding
This is a strange review, we have booked twice to stay here and haven't actually made it yet due to illness. I have had to cancel both times, Sheryl was so understanding and accepting of our disorganisation for which I am extremely grateful for. Thank you so much Sheryl, we really do appreciate your patience and hope to get to you one day in the future!

Great campsite near bendigo
We were met at the farm gate by our lovely host Sheryl. Huge camp sites like you are camping by yourself in the bush rather than someones farm. Woke up to birds singing, and other bush noises. Sat under a huge tree after breakfast with the wind blowing so gery peaceful and relaxing. Amazing bike tracks lead you to the pub at Axedale where it is always 5 oclock somewhere. Our amazing host talents extended to finding my lost mobile phone on her property with only a map from apple she even organised its delivery to me in melbourne. Such a great place to stay we will definitely be back. Hoping to get a dam site.
