Riverside King Valley is set on 16 acres on the banks of the King river featuring 10 spacious campsite spread along the property. Just a half an hour drive from Wangaratta, 45 minutes from Benalla and an hour from Mansfield. Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away. Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras). Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. River flats 1 is on the smaller side compared to the other sites we offer however what it lacks in size it makes up for in location, right on the bank of the king river under the shade of some beautiful trees. This site will accommodate all camping set ups from caravans to tents and swags. This campsite has a firepit and access to the amenities including a flush toilet and hot shower and well as space and a sink for dishes. Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites.

River flats powered 2 is 1 of the 3 powered sites we offer here at riverside king valley, each powered site has only 1 power supply. Generators can be used but must be used with others in mind. This site is a short walk to the amenities including a flush toilet and hot shower as well as space and a sink to do dishes. Reminder that this site is NOT on the bank of the river it is set back a short walk from the river. River flats site 2 is a beautiful spacious grassy campsite set on the banks of the King river, the site offers the option to set up camp right next to the river or set back on the grass area set 20 m from the rivers edge. Being a spacious site it is well suited to larger groups of 20-30 people. This site is only a short walk to the amenities including a flush toilet and hot shower as well as space and a sink to do dishes. Robinia forest is by far one of the most secluded site on the property set at the far end of the property under the shade of the of the Robinia trees set right on the banks of the river this site can accommodate 15-20 people suited to all forms of camping set ups from caravans to tents and swags. This site is designed for those that are more self sufficient as there is no access to the amenities however, we do offer portable camp toilets contained in an ensuit tent for a small fee. Campers booking this site MUST book a portable toilet unless you have one of your own. Bush camp 1 is one of the biggest sites that we offer here at Riverside King Valley, the site is set 50-60m from the bank of the river although there is a option to be closer to the water it is a smaller area and not as shaded, the main part of this site is set under the shade of the beautiful Paulownia trees with a large flat grassed area suitable for all camping setups. This site is suited more for those who are self-sufficient as there are no amenities on the site. Campers booking this site MUST book a portable toilet unless you have one of your own. Bush camp 3 is another one of our larger site accommodating large groups of between 30-40 people this campsite offers options there is a smaller space close to the rivers edge with a grass area as well as sand and rock areas and a larger area on the back side of the main track that is a large open area surrounded by beautiful tall gum trees, you can chose to use one part of the campsite or the other or both parts for larger groups, keeping in mind that the main track runs through both parts of the campsite so long weekends there will be traffic going past to other campsites on the property. Campers booking this site MUST book a portable toilet unless you have one of your own. Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites.

The scenery, the magnificent property, the surreal surrounds, the friendly nature of Daemon and Sue and how welcoming there are is A+. We had such a fantastic quiet time, we cant wait to go back and highly recommend this property.

The Hipcamp hosted by Daemon & Sara, is nothing short of amazing! Perched on the King River yet still amongst the bush is the ideal spot for a getaway with anyone! Facilities on site are fantastic! The space/s can accomodate many! Its easy to find, navigate, communication and hosting from Daemon & Sara was incredile, reccomend this Hipcamp to anyone! We will definitely be back :)

Such a great spot, the kids love the rope swing and messing around looking for jasper in the rocks. Nicely spaced out camp spots, dog friendly, really shady and calm. 5 stars!

Ease of communication via app, from greeting us at arrival to showing us to our campsite & prompt attention when had power troubles from Daemon & Sara is highly commendable. Gorgeous site close to the river, a short walk to the clean toilets & shower. The hot water was good, Marley made itself at home too, the children enjoyed playing with the dog. Ample space to run around and not too close to the river for their safety too. First camp for half the group, though it might have been crazy to kickstart with winter camp, with hot fireplace, electric blankets & hot water, it was a very memorable camp for us all. Thanks again for hosting us at your lovely farm, Daemon & Sara😊

Great relaxed Hipcamp with nice river views and space to spread out. Daemon was welcoming and gave some suggestions of what to do in the area. Power site was equipped for caravans and fire pits were huge.

Fantastic location, we had a campsite just on the water and it was so peaceful listening to the water in the morning. We went in Autumn and it was beautiful seeing the coloured leaves. We visited the local wineries and breweries. The hot shower was great after a bike ride.

Robinia forest site was so beautiful, highly recommend to anyone looking for a large secluded camp site. The river was beautiful and really enjoyed the ‘away from the world’ time that space offered. Damo and Sara were very helpful and the kindling we brought ugly from them was also fantastic wood for whittling by the fire. Will be back for sure :)

Great location easy to access. Friendly and helpful hosts. Lovely river spot with fire pit. Plenty of hot water, clean facilities. Highly recommend staying here. Close to Plenty of tourist type activities and great food options. Lots of roaming dogs from other camps caused an issue for us in our camp.

THE BEST camping experience!! Big thank you to Daemon and Sara for being amazing hosts. They were super helpful and polite, providing firewood and kindling when we needed it, and having accessible and clean toilets and a shower. We stayed at Site 1: River Flats, which has direct access and views to the river and it was beautiful. We had heaps of space and were pretty isolated from others. We highly recommend this campsite and we will be back again in the future. A big thank you again!
