... Hi there and welcome to our home, Penzance! We fell in love with our slice of heaven over 12 years ago and adore every back breaking inch of it. It was an over grown mess at the time, covered in broken bricks and beer cans. We've tried to keep the bush aspect while creating a park like surround with plenty of grassy space. We have big plans for our land and hope to build a steam museum in our other area over the creek. Excitingly, we will also be establishing a blacksmiths forge in that area, which was moved piece by piece from an historic farm at Avoca. Chris is an engineer, antique restorer and artisan working from home. I am an actor and artist working in metal, clay and paint. I'm inspired by my flower garden and the bush that frames it. We look forward to welcoming you to Penzance.

Relax in the Sticks
Hidden Gem
Thank you Lesley & Craig for another amazing visit to your beautiful property. From the moment we arrived we immediately felt relaxed! Your property is so lovely to walk around with a glass of red, while the big fire pit is always keeping us cosy warm. Jett our puppy also loved it and thank you for providing him with a big food/water bowl. It’s always sad to leave, but we’ll be back very soon!

Close to everything
20 mins from Ballarat Central. Nice spot tucked away from the hustle and bustle. Beautiful set up camps with fire pits, picnic tables and chairs. Easy to find. Hopefully be back.

Relax in the Sticks
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Relax in the sticks 😁would recommend staying there from a couple like us to a family or two. Nice green open space with a few trees for shade if staying there in summer and a huge dam. Fire pit with ample fire wood fossicking area, depending on fire restrictions, table and chairs. There is a rustic loo in the making as well... Plenty of room for a few 16ft caravans, entrance turn would be a bit tight for over 21ft tho. Buninyong bakery was our go to for lunch and coffee 👍🏻☕️😁

Amazing spot with awesome wildlife
What a wonderful camping spot! Stayed for one night with a friend and my son. Greeted with a lovely, clean area by flowing creek with a nice clean outdoor dining set and a wonderful firepit, we set up camp and enjoyed the amazing sounds of wildlife. We heard all kinds of birdlife and came across many frogs which means that the area is super healthy! Lesley was wonderful in checking in on us with the rain but fortunately we expected it and set up a gazebo accordingly. I loved waking up to the sounds of kookaburras and while I was disappointed to not come across any wildlife, I saw evidence of kangaroos having been recently through (Droppings) and so I'm sure if it wasn't raining the whole time, we would have seen some! Looking forward to visiting again and exploring more of the property next time, hopefully in better weather!

Amazing camp site
Chris and Lesley were lovely hosts. Probably the nicest camp site I have stayed at so far. Caught some very nice trout at the Yarrowee River nearby. Will be back.
