Pollys paddock is named after a beautiful palomino horse named Polly, who lived here as a loved member of our family into her early 40s. Polly's Paddock is a quiet camping area on the Mornington Peninsula. We are a couples only camping (adults only), no children, for safety reasons with a dam close by. Only 15 minutes from Mount Martha village and Mornington, restaurants, amazing wineries, weekend markets, cafes and golf courses. We are 10 minutes from swimming beaches and 20 minutes from surf beaches. This is a 5.5 acre block, consisting of the host’s residence, garden and parkland. Polly's Paddock is half of the block. We offer 2 flat caravan sites, both with drinking water , 1 with limited power , the other no power. There is a site with a glamping tent set in the garden. The 6 metre round tent sleeps 2, with a queen size bed, linen provided. It is carpeted, has a fridge, kettle and BBQ. Just pack your toothbrush, clothes, food and drinks. All 3 sites have the use of a shared composting toilet. For a refreshing experience there is an outdoor, open air hot shower overlooking the dam. Close by is a spacious shelter/shed with tables, chairs and a rustic kitchen area with sink and heater. Well behaved dogs are accepted on the caravan sites, but we ask that you please discuss with us prior to booking. Dogs are to be kept on a lead at all times, wild ducks and the properties own poultry wander here. No dogs on the glamping tent site. Campfires are allowed during the cooler months, left to the hosts discretion for safety reasons. We supply a fire pit. BYO wood. No fires apart from in the fire pits provided are to be lit. Fires are to be extinguished before going to bed or leaving. One vehicle per site Potable water available Water hookup Dump point, but no garbage disposal facilities Guests must take all rubbish home when they leave Check in after 1pm. Flat site amongst garden overlooking grassy area. A short walk to the amenities, composting toilet and outdoor, open air shower. There is a shelter shed with washing up facilities, table and chairs. Beyond here is a dam that you may wander around, sit along the way in the sun, read a book or watch the ducks and maybe see a turtle. Adults only , no children due to a dam close by.

A flat site, overlooking pockets of garden and gums,. Drinking water available , un powered site . A short walk through a garden area to the communal amenities , a composting toilet and open air shower and shelter shed. Here you can sit or chat with other guests. A good sunny spot. Maybe take a walk around the dam, see if you can spot the local turtles or just relax with a book. Adults only, no children, due to a dam close by.

Hidden on the edge of a Bali inspired garden is our 6 m Bell tent. With queen size bed , linen provided , fridge, heater, and chairs. Outside bbq along with the use of a shared shelter shed with wash up facilities and communal fire pit. Tables and chairs. There is a shared composting toilet and an outside, open air hot shower. Adults only, no children due to a dam close by.

Paradise in a Paddock

More than just a paddock. This is a piece of paradise and better than most caravan parks I've been to. Kind and helpful hosts A beautiful property with ample flat space for car and camper The gardens are gorgeous with lots of little garden rooms but the highlights were the under cover camp kitchen with potbelly and lots of special little touches, a walk around the pretty damn and lots of interesting sculptures and garden art. This place is amazing

A Very Disappointing Camping Exp

Although there is no total fire ban in the area, I received a message just 5 days before the camp saying that I would not be allowed to light a fire or use a charcoal barbecue. If this message had come 7 days earlier, I could have cancelled my booking and received a full refund. But since it was sent only 5 days before, I couldn’t cancel and I was left at a disadvantage. When I arrived at the campsite, I noticed that the spots of other campers were extremely close to mine. Also, even though there was no total fire ban, I was told I could not make a fire as if there was one, while in the common area other people were allowed to light fires. If there is really a ban, then no one should be allowed to make a fire. If there is no ban, why was I told otherwise? This made me extremely uncomfortable. Because the area where I camped was sand, it was constantly dusty. I could only stay for one night and had to leave the next day. In addition, although they said “there is a shower,” the place they call a shower is so small that you can’t even wash a child — it’s just like a dog washing area. Besides that, the campsite has hundreds of rules and these rules are repeatedly reminded. This also makes the experience quite unpleasant. Overall, I was not satisfied with my experience at all. I do not recommend this campsite.

10/10! We have been on the road for a few weeks now and this has been our favourite place to stay. Your own private sanctuary with beautiful gardens and wildlife. Amanda showed us around when we arrived and was a great host. Outdoor shower was amazing and spotless bathroom. The sheltered kitchen area was super cute with everything we needed. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Polly’s Paddock is absolutely gorgeous. Amanda and Geoff have put so much care and attention into it and it shows. They were wonderful hosts - so kind and accommodating. The facilities were excellent - clean and very comfortable. It was easy to get places. I will definitely be back!

Amazing property and hosts! They have done such a good job converting their gigantic backyard into a cozy place to stay. The outdoor shower was a dream - better hot water than we had at our Airbnb the night before! We brought our own cooking gear and were able to eat dinner in the camp kitchen area. The location is also perfect, very close to wineries and the rest of Mornington. Highly recommend!
