Great riding on nearby local tracks, watersports and fishing at Lake Nillahcootie (15 min from here) or just exploring the great outdoors. Bring yourself, the family, friends and dogs are welcome too. Large group bookings now available. There are several campsites to choose from. Powered site available at Main camp only! Facilities included - 2 hot water camp showers, 2 toilets and a camp kitchen for all guests to share. Campfires are permitted. Farm tours and animal feeding available. Nillawarre Main Camp- power option
Lovely place to stay and the hosts are very accommodating. It was extremely hot when we were there but Gennie was making sure we were all comfortable and went out of her way to entertain the children We would certainly stay again if we were in the region

Nillawarre Main Camp- power option
Not happy moved to corner site
We made a reservation for a campsite a week ahead, eagerly anticipating our outdoor getaway. However, disappointment struck when we received a message at 6 pm the day before our arrival, stating that our site was needed for an extension. Presented with the options of canceling our trip or relocating, we reluctantly chose the latter, unwilling to abandon our plans last minute. Upon arriving, we were directed to a secluded spot far from the main area, promising privacy but offering a view obstructed by tall trees, which deprived us of enjoying the sunset and surrounding landscape. The lack of amenities, including toilets and showers, at the secluded site was inconvenient, necessitating a drive back to the main campsite. Additionally, the secluded location was teeming with insects and wildlife, including an unsettling encounter with a snake while packing up. Despite attempting stargazing, the dense canopy of trees obstructed much of the sky. In hindsight, our decision to pay a premium for a campsite with promised amenities and scenic views feels regrettable. The reality of our experience fell short of our expectations, leaving us feeling frustrated and disillusioned. We hope our feedback prompts improvements in campsite management and communication, sparing future guests the disappointment we endured.

Nillawarre magic
Love staying at the dam. The kids spent the whole weekend kayaking and playing in the water. The sunset and sunrises were magic. Ginny and Garry are the best hosts you could possibly ask for.

My favourite hipcamp
We absolutely loved our stay! The campsite was so peaceful and had the most amazing views. The amenties were super clean and really well done. Having items on site that you could buy was such a great touch, the kids loved the icy poles and ice creams on a hot day. The spot we had was beautiful and well shaded for the hot days. So many lovely places nearby to explore. The kids adored the farm tour and feeding the animals. We were lucky enough to see 1 day old baby cows Probably the best hipcamp I have been too. Thanks for a an absolutely wonderful Ginnie and Garry.
