Matthew’s Creek Hipcamp is a 30 acre north-facing slope looking out from the Otway Ranges towards the volcanic Western Districts. Behind us lies the grand splendour of the Great Ocean Road with all it’s wonderful attractions. (www.visitgreatoceanroad.org.au) This camp offers a great place to park or pitch the tent and explore everything the region has on offer. We guarantee privacy, seclusion, security, peace, and tranquility. Although, there is Rocky, the Light Sussex rooster to add to the atmosphere! There is patchy mobile and internet at the sites. It is best to arrive in daylight, we are difficult to find in the dark. In the near vicinity we have the Pennyroyal Raspberry farm and Hero’s winery. For lunch or dinner there is The Store in Dean’s Marsh, the Pub and restaurant in Birregurra and the Forrest Brewing Company in Forrest, and Gentle Annie in Pennyroyal who provide grazing platters and picnics featuring many of the locally produced treats found on the Otway Harvest Trail (www.otwayharvesttrail.org.au). We have 3 camping sites, the Goat Paddock, which can accommodate larger vehicles and RVs (levelling ramps required), the Old Orchard, suited for trailer campers, small RVs and tents. The Creek Flat is 4WD access only. We only take one booking per site. Each site has a brick fire pit and wood bundles can be purchased. Campers are welcome to walk downhill to the creek, and along the creek line. Electric fencing may be on. Untreated rainwater is provided in plastic bottles. Creek’s flat stay

Beautiful place, very quiet and surrounded by nature. Couldn’t see anybody around so it felt very relaxing staying there. I stayed there three nights and it was wonderful, i could even see some kangaroos going around. I would highly recommend! The firewood option is great, really adds to the adventure! Thanks a lot to the hosts!

Such a beautiful secluded site, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Not a car or other person in site, just the sound of nature. Set up with a fire pit and water when we arrived which was such a huge help. Highly recommend.
